These include the Halloween Toons, such as Gourdy, Rebecca, Eclipse, and Soulvester, with Gourdy as the main toon, the New Year Toons, including Koala, Bobetta, Rudy, and Ginger, with Bobetta as the main toon, and the Easter Toons - Cocoa, Eggson, Flight, and Basi, with Basi as the main toon. For the rest of the time, they remain in a state of isolation, not contacting children or other toons, which often becomes a source of melancholy and loneliness for them as they await their short period of activity.

Large Chocolate Box is a very useful item containing five candies; when the entire box is used, the toon receives a significant speed boost and a charge of energy for a short time. Small Chocolate Bar is a useful item that slightly speeds up the toon and briefly increases their energy. Candies are a special category of items that apply various effects depending on their color. Blue Candy gives a stealth effect, which in practice turns out to be useless. Yellow Candy gives a useful effect of increased speed. Orange Candy provides a useful effect of speeding up the process of filling an Ichor Capsule. Green Candy gives a useful effect of increased stamina. Finally, there are absolutely useless items. Gumballs are three pieces of gum that, when used, give three completely random effects for a very short time, making their practical value zero. The Timer is a completely useless item that can only be bought from Dandy; it slightly reduces the chance of breaking an Ichor Capsule when using it, but this effect is so insignificant and short-lived that it does not justify its cost. The Button, unlike the Timer, is a very useful item that, when activated, significantly increases the toon's movement speed for a short period of time, which can save their life in a critical situation.

In the world of Gardenview, toons can find and use various items that significantly help them in survival and in completing the main task of filling the Ichor Flasks. These items have different degrees of usefulness and rarity. The Cable is a useful item that allows the user to produce approximately one-third of a full Ichor Capsule at a time, speeding up the process of collecting the vital liquid. The Valve is a very useful and extremely rare item; it cannot simply be found on the floors but can only be purchased from the Dandy Shop for tapes; its main advantage is that it allows the creation of an entire Ichor Capsule in one go, saving a huge amount of time and reducing risk. For health maintenance, there are the Medkit and the Bandage. The Medkit is a very useful item that fully restores two health points to a toon, healing all wounds, while the Bandage is a simply useful item that restores only one health point and partially heals wounds; the bandage is especially valuable for fragile Main Toons like Vee, Pebble, Sprout, Astro, and Shelly, who have only two health points instead of the standard three. For avoiding dangers, there are the Bomb and the Horn. The Bomb is a very useful item that, when activated, explodes, releasing thick purple smoke, allowing a toon to hide from the sight of a pursuing Twisted and thus escape. The Horn is a useful item that emits a loud sound, distracting all distorted Twisteds towards itself; this can save a comrade who has run out of stamina and is in immediate danger. For managing stamina and movement speed, there are several drinks and sweets. Large Soda is a very useful item, allowing the toon to fully restore their stamina bar, enabling them to continue running. Small Soda is a useful item that only slightly restores energy, allowing them to run a little further.

Each floor in the Gardenview center represents an independent and extremely dangerous location that operates under strict and merciless rules. The main feature of the layout is the presence of two elevators, one of which is operational and the other is broken and non-functional. At least two Twisteds constantly move around the floor, although sometimes their number can be higher, creating a constant threat for any toon who finds themselves here. For survival and progress, several tapes are scattered around the floor, serving as the local currency, and one can also find Ichor Capsules. Besides this, various items of varying usefulness can be found here, which can help in completing tasks or avoiding dangers. The key mechanism of the floor is several Ichor Flasks that need to be filled. To ascend to the next level and avoid death, the toons need to fill all the Ichor Flasks on the floor. This process involves collecting ichor from the capsules and carefully filling the flasks via their valves, as careless handling can cause a loud sound that attracts all nearby Twisteds. Once the last flask is completely filled, a signal sounds, and the working elevator opens again. The toons have exactly thirty seconds to run to the elevator before its doors close again. If they fail to reach the elevator within this short window, they remain on the floor forever, which is equivalent to certain death, as escape becomes impossible and the constant presence of Twisteds makes long-term survival unrealistic. This rule creates constant tension and requires the toons to be not only cautious but also to plan their route to the elevator efficiently in advance.

A blackout is a serious complication of the situation on some floors of the Gardenview center. This event occurs suddenly and plunges the rooms into complete darkness, creating significant difficulties for movement and activity. Under such conditions, searching for useful items, including tapes and other important resources, becomes extremely difficult, as visibility is limited almost to zero. Performing tasks related to mechanisms, such as the Ichor Flasks, is also greatly complicated by the inability to see the controls properly. Furthermore, the darkness creates an additional security threat, as it significantly reduces the distance at which approaching Twisteds can be spotted. These distorted beings can get very close, remaining unnoticed in the dark, which sharply increases the risk of a sudden attack. Periods of blackouts require special caution, slowed movement, and increased attention to sound cues, which become the primary means of orientation and threat detection.

Ichor Flasks are an important and ubiquitous element on every floor of the Gardenview center. These devices are large glass cylinders mounted on a sturdy metal base, with a shut-off valve at the bottom to control the flow of liquid. A metal pipe is attached to the top of the flask, through which the black viscous substance—ichor—begins to flow into the cylinder when someone turns the valve. A signal lamp is also located on the upper part of the device, which glows red by default, but when the flask is filled with ichor to the required level, this bulb switches to green, signaling the successful completion of the process. The mechanism requires careful handling, as turning the valve too sharply or carelessly can cause a system failure. In this case, the flask emits an extremely loud and piercing sound, similar to an emergency siren. This sound instantly attracts the attention of all Twisteds on that floor, and they head towards the source of the noise, creating an extremely dangerous situation for whoever is operating the flask

Tapes serve as the primary currency in the world of Gardenview. These items are small cassettes that are scattered in large numbers across all floors of the educational center. Although there are many of them overall, on each individual floor there is a strictly limited number of tapes—no more than twenty-five. This limitation forces visitors to thoroughly explore each level in search of the valuable currency. The main purpose of tapes is to make purchases in the Dandy Shop, which appears in the elevator on even-numbered floors. In this shop, one can acquire various rare and useful items for tapes, which help in surviving and exploring the center. Furthermore, tapes have special significance for toons—some of them possess unique abilities that require spending a certain number of tapes to use.

The Dandy Shop is a special trading platform that appears in the elevator of the Gardenview center, emerging from a special hatch in the back wall every time the elevator stops on an even-numbered floor. This platform is a small portable stand on which three separate cushions are placed. Various items are displayed for sale on these cushions, each with different degrees of rarity and usefulness, ranging from common objects to unique finds. Behind the stand itself is a simple chair where Dandy himself sits, observing the visitors. Next to him is a control lever, which he uses to control the ascent and descent of his platform back into the hatch. The currency he accepts is tapes, which can be found scattered on the floors of various levels of the center. These tapes are the only way to acquire rare and valuable items that can aid in survival and exploration of Gardenview.

Externally, it does not look like an ordinary cabin but rather like a large room with a characteristic tiled floor, creating a sense of a spacious and strange space. On both sides of this room, two lamps are installed, emitting a bright white light that illuminates the entire space and casts clear shadows. In the center, against the far wall of the elevator, there is a special hatch, which is an important feature of this place. It is through this hatch that the Dandy Shop appears on every even-numbered floor, offering its goods. To the right of this hatch, on a small raised platform, stands a large old television that currently does not work.

Twisteds are distorted and corrupted versions of ordinary toons that have been subjected to a disfiguring effect from the ichor, the black liquid that constitutes their foundation. These beings have completely lost their original personality and have become the embodiment of aggression, with killing as their sole purpose. Despite their obvious danger, Twisteds possess rather low intelligence; they wander the floors of the Gardenview center without a clear goal, being in a state of passive wandering until they detect a living target, which they immediately attack. Movement speed and behavioral characteristics can vary for each individual Twisted, but they all share a common trait: they are easily fooled. One can hide from a Twisted right in front of its eyes using cover or simple avoidance tactics, as their perception is heavily clouded. The transformation of a toon into a Twisted occurs due to two main reasons: either from being in a terrible, destructive emotional state that disrupts the stability of their ichor, or as a result of receiving fatal physical injuries that catastrophically alter their internal structure. An important rule is that only two Twisteds can be present on one floor of the center at the same time, unless the user specifies a greater number.

Ichor capsules are an integral part of the Gardenview center and can be found on every floor. These capsules are shaped like small glass cylinders. Their design includes metal lids located on the sides of the cylinder, and right in the center of each capsule, two sturdy straps are fastened for additional safety and stability. Each such capsule is only half-filled with ichor, allowing one to observe the black viscous liquid slowly moving inside the glass container.

Ichor is a special black liquid that serves as the fundamental basis for the creation and existence of all toons. It is the essence of their bodies and functions as part of their internal biological system. This is why, when a toon suffers a physical injury, what flows from the wound is not red blood like in humans, but this very black, viscous, and oily ichor.

Arthur Walton, being the second founder of Gardenview, acted as the creative generator of the project. He created the concept for all the toons and was the author and host of the children's educational television show "Dandy World," which aired from 1990. Arthur often expressed serious concern regarding Delilah's reckless working methods and the potential danger of her experiments, foreseeing the possibility of accidents due to her carelessness.
