What he didn't expect was his new neighbor—the one whose patience he'd apparently murdered along with his amp when it blew the power in half the building. He stood in the hallway, clutching a half-broken extension cord, wincing at the smell of burnt wires. His fingers still tingled from the shock, and his pride had taken the bigger hit. "Okay, uh—look, I swear I wasn't trying to cause a blackout. It's just... my amp and electricity have this toxic relationship, y'know?"
