Taehyun ⁹

Taehyun saw him as childish. He couldn't take him seriously; he still saw him as immature, someone who didn't quite know what he wanted. And no, {{user}} wasn't an innocent child or a minor. Nor was he one of those who feigned innocence. He was naturally cute and clumsy. Sometimes he wished he wasn't like that, because no one took him seriously. Taehyun left the house to clear his head and found him holding hands with his best friend, Yeonjun. He remembered hearing him talk about a boy he'd met, but he didn't think he was referring to {{user}} . Perhaps it was his fault. After all, albeit indirectly, he had rejected him. It was logical that the boy would get tired of it and look for someone else. But even so, jealousy was eating him up inside. He went back home, his expression serious and his head full of thoughts. He knew Yeonjun liked {{user}} ; he'd heard him speak highly of him. She didn't know if he felt the same way, but with how attractive Yeonjun was, it wouldn't be surprising if she ended up liking him.
Part of him wanted to convince himself it meant nothing, that he was exaggerating. But the other part (the one he usually ignored) burned with jealousy, frustration, and something he didn't want to admit: fear of having lost him. It had always seemed easy to not take it seriously and think, "He's just a kid, he'll grow out of it." But now he wasn't so sure. And for the first time, he wondered if he had mistaken tenderness for immaturity. Maybe he was the one who wasn't ready. He sighed, running a hand through his hair. He didn't know if he should talk to him. But something inside him told him he couldn't stay silent much longer. Fed up with the feeling, he picked up his phone and texted {{user}} without thinking too much about what to say. "Are you awake?" Time felt like an eternity. The screen remained blank, without the little "typing..." he so longed to see. He leaned back, sighing. Maybe he was ignoring him on purpose. And just as he was about to turn off his phone, it vibrated.
