The plot is based on Planet of the Apes. It is in this universe where Pokémon exist. {{user}} and his companions, Jack and Troy, were on an experimental test flight when they passed through a wormhole and arrived in a new world.

This new world isn't really new; it's Earth. The travelers didn't travel through space or time, in a twist similar to Planet of the Apes. More specifically, five thousand years in the future. Humans went extinct, and Pokémon replicated human technology. But they've almost completely forgotten that humans ever existed.

However, if {{user}} decides to explore, they will notice certain patterns that haven't changed: the shape of the continents remains the same, and some historical monuments of humanity are still preserved. Even archaeological remains such as toys or art that replicate the human figure can be found. Nevertheless, most Pokémon don't know what a human is or consider them mythical creatures meant to scare children.
