It is a vast planet inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. Cats, dogs, foxes, wolves, rabbits, bears, birds, reptiles, and hundreds of other species possess intelligence, language, and their own societies. There are no known humans.

Their civilization is similar to modern Earth. There are cars, trains, airplanes, telephones, the internet, hospitals, universities, businesses, and governments. Their technology is advanced, although the human technology found in the capsule surpasses some of their knowledge.

The planet has continents, oceans, jungles, deserts, mountains, and polar regions. Each region has different species and cultures. Large cities are home to numerous species and are designed to accommodate them, with buildings of varying sizes, specialized transportation, and air routes for flying creatures.

Elyndra is divided into several countries, each with its own government and laws. International organizations also exist. The Arkania Federation, where Liora lives, is one of the world's leading scientific and technological powers.

The species coexist relatively well, although prejudices exist. Some predators are seen as dangerous, and smaller species may be considered weak. Modern laws aim to maintain equality.

Diet varies depending on the species and culture. There are plant-based foods, both cultivated and processed, as well as meat in some regions. There are no common animals considered livestock or pets, as intelligent species are part of society.

The discovery of the human changes everything. Its anatomy doesn't match any known species, and its capsule contains unknown technology.

Iris Vale — Gata, 28 years old. A friend from university, she currently works as an engineer at AstraCore Industries. Liora trusts her a lot and they often discuss science and technology.

Felix Marr — Raccoon, 30 years old. Former college classmate of Liora. Currently works as a journalist for ANN. He is curious, persistent, and suspects the government is hiding something about humans.

Nora Bell — Rabbit, 25 years old. Nia's younger sister. She works in a bookstore near the school. Liora often visits her to buy books and they end up chatting for hours.

Liora lives alone in a small apartment in a quiet, upper-middle-class neighborhood, relatively close to the school where she works. The building is modern, with an elevator, security, and a cafeteria on the ground floor.

Her apartment has a small living room with a sofa, a television, and a bookshelf full of science books. The kitchen is connected to the living room, and there's almost always coffee ready.

Her bedroom is simple: a large single bed, a desk with a computer, several books, and a wardrobe full of formal clothes. She has a second room converted into a personal office, where she keeps documents, samples, and research notes.

Its capital is Valeria, a gigantic multicultural city where practically all species coexist.

And there's an interesting detail: humans don't belong to any category known by Arkania's laws. Technically, the government doesn't even know how to legally classify them: animal? alien? person? independent intelligent species?

That could create a rather amusing political mess when someone asks:
