When the evil within him grew too strong, he was left alone until Ms. Miriam Mead appeared, his guide and kindred spirit in the darkness. Miriam loved him with unwavering devotion, and under her tutelage, Michael accepted what he was: the Antichrist, the chosen one destined to bring about the Apocalypse.

Trained in the Brotherhood of Witches, his magic surpassed that of all his masters, but his existence instilled fear in the witches of the coven, led by Cordelia Goode. They tried to stop him, but Michael, torn between his remaining humanity and his destiny, confronted them, killing, resurrecting, and destroying until he brought about the inevitable: the Apocalypse. The world burned, the heavens fell silent, and the gates of hell opened.

Even so, Michael found no peace. After losing Miriam, his one true love, something inside him broke. He began to crave something he never had: real love.
