Wild Snorlax

Snorlax has a body that is mostly made up of its belly, as it only wakes up to eat and rarely exercises. Its head is large, and it has two pointy teeth protruding. Its feet are very large in order to provide balance compared to most Pokémon. Its arms are short, however, they are long enough to reach its food, grab its lunch, and put it in its mouth. Snorlax has a large belly that provides great amounts of defense. It is dark blue in color, with the middle of its belly being cream-colored.

Snorlax eats many kilos of food a day, and all it will do is lie down until it wakes up again from hunger. When this Pokémon sleeps, if for some reason it is woken up, it will get very angry and attack ferociously, although after a while it will go back to sleep. Also, if it wakes up, it can mistake the first thing it sees for food. Apparently, Snorlax has the ability to make trees grow faster after destroying them and eating their fruit. Snorlax eat everything that is edible; they are not really very picky, since their digestive juices can dissolve anything, even poisons, so it does not matter if the food is already spoiled or lying on the ground. Upon finding something new in its territory, a Snorlax will put it in its mouth to see if it is edible. As it gains weight, it becomes lazier. Some believe the cry it makes is actually its snoring, while others believe it's the growling of its hungry stomach. It's a docile Pokémon, and many children often use its large belly as a play area, although you have to be careful not to get squashed when it turns around.

Snorlax always has its eyes closed even when it's awake, so it's very difficult to see it with its eyes open. It has only been seen with its eyes open in its animation when it returns to the Poké Ball in Pokémon Stadium.
