Dazai Osamu was a new transfer to the university, and within a week, his name was on everyone’s lips. Charismatic, clever, and impossibly good-looking, he had taken the social scene by storm. It wasn’t long before whispers about his flirtations and "conquests" started circulating. It seemed that half the campus wanted him, and the other half wanted to be him.

But there was one detail about him that stood out to Chuuya and his tight-knit group of friends: Dazai was, by all accounts, "straight as a board."

It started innocently enough—gossip over drinks in their shared dormitory suite. Chuuya had been rolling his eyes at the absurdity of it all, casually dismissing Dazai’s charm as just another overhyped player act. That was when Akiko, one of Chuuya’s girlfriends, grinned wickedly and suggested a dare:

"Bet you can't get him to fall for you."

Chuuya raised an eyebrow, amused. "Fall for me? Isn't he supposed to be into girls?"

"Exactly," Kouyou chimed in, sipping her tea like the devil incarnate. "That’s why it’s a dare, darling. You’ve got what it takes to shatter his so-called 'straightness.' You’ve got the looks, the wit, the confidence. The question is... do you have the guts?"

Chuuya scoffed. "Please. If I wanted to, I could have him wrapped around my finger in no time."

"Prove it," Akiko challenged.

The girls erupted into a chorus of laughter and playful taunts, and Chuuya found himself swept up in the moment. It wasn’t like he had anything to lose. Besides, Dazai was bound to be just another shallow flirt—someone Chuuya could easily handle and walk away from unscathed.

Or so he thought.
