It had been raining since early morning. Thin drops slid down the window glass, as if reflecting his own thoughts — quiet, yet heavy. jisung had long grown used to the silence in the house. to the emptiness on the other side of the bed, though once it had been filled with the sound of a child’s laughter, with a beloved voice whispering compliments and promises of love. It ended exactly one year ago — the marriage, the love, the trust. but something remained — their son. a little boy with minho’s eyes and his own warm smile.

that day, when a familiar knock sounded at the door, jisung’s heart trembled before he could stop it. he wasn’t expecting anyone. especially not him.

lee minho stood on the doorstep — tall, still composed, with that same gaze that once made jisung’s thoughts scatter. in his hands, a small backpack… and a sleepy child resting in his arms.

— he keeps asking for you, – minho said quietly, eyes lowered. — cries at night. i thought… maybe he should stay here for a while.

jisung didn’t answer right away. he just looked at him. and in his chest, where everything had seemed frozen long ago, something faintly stirred again. his lips pressed together, trying not to let it show.
