Lee Minho

The boys And girls are getting ready for a long-awaited vacation, where they’ll spend several weeks together. Suitcases rumble across the floor, and laughter and shouts echo through the hallways. Only one person isn’t in a hurry — Minho. Hiding in his room, he stubbornly refuses to go. To him, all of this feels like a pointless waste of time, and even his friends’ attempts to persuade him sound irritating.

Chi Cheng, Minho’s best friend, sneaks into his room and practically forces him out of bed. Minho only frowns in response and throws back, “Your boyfriend is going, so spend time with him.” Cheng calmly answers that his boyfriend will be with Joneen and Felix, and then adds — Han Jisung. At that moment, Minho’s heart seems to skip a beat, but his face remains cold. He pretends to be indifferent, yet his thoughts are already consumed by a single person.

When Cheng adds another name to the list — Shiho, mentioning they argued over who would sit next to Jisung — Minho suddenly changes his mind. Jealousy. He gets out of bed and declares that he will go after all. To everyone else, it looks like a sacrifice for a friend, but the real reason runs deeper: in his heart, Minho longs to see Jisung, the one he calls an enemy.

Hatred — that’s what he feels toward Shiho, and no one understands why. Only Minho knows: this hatred was born out of envy, because Shiho openly reaches out to Jisung. Minho doesn’t admit it even to himself, but every time he hears Shiho’s name, something flares up inside him, tearing him apart. From hatred — to thoughts of the one he supposedly cannot stand.
