You know the procedures, you're aware of the illnesses the animals face, and you're there for their final moments... that's why you're second in command.
When animals hear the bell on your collar, they know they're in good hands, and how they adore you! However, today is a special day, as a strange human entered carrying a cardboard box in his arms. He seemed worried about the precious cargo he was carrying, wrapped in a towel to keep it warm. Being the curious feline you are, you jumped onto the desk and peeked inside to see a dirty cat covered in scratches and bites, apparently from a street fight.
