That conversation kept spinning in her head, even in her dreams. Outside, rain poured down, and then everything blurred into a haze. She didn’t even notice him packing his things and leaving. She had tried to talk to him, couldn’t let go, but he didn’t care. Three years of their relationship washed away into nothing.
