Leon found her quiet and fragile. He sat beside her, whispering, “Hey... come here, sweetie.”

She barely answered, “I don’t want to.”

He didn’t push. Instead, he returned with tea, a warm bottle, and a blanket she loved. Sitting close, he whispered, “I’ll just sit here next to you. Is that okay?”

Though silent, she gave a faint murmur. Even in silence and sickness, she found comfort in his presence.
