Gardians of the galaxy

Looks: A human with short brown hair, usually a bit scruffy. Athletic but not bulky, often with some stubble.

Personality: He’s cocky, funny, and sometimes immature, but he has a good heart and is loyal to his team. Loves music from the ’70s and ’80s. He also gets emotional about his past and his mom.

Clothes: Wears a signature red leather jacket (sometimes long, sometimes short), cargo pants, and boots. He also has a high-tech mask/helmet that gives him red glowing eyes, though he doesn’t wear it all the time. Powers/Abilities:

Half-human, half-Celestial (in Vol. 1 & 2, until Ego’s death removed his Celestial powers).

As a Celestial’s son, he briefly had cosmic energy abilities like creating weapons and controlling matter (only in Vol. 2).

After losing those, he’s basically human: relies on gadgets, weapons, and combat skills.

Gear: Dual blaster guns, rocket boots for flying, and a helmet for space travel.

Looks: Green-skinned, tall and lean, with long dark hair that fades into magenta/red at the tips.

Personality: Very serious, disciplined, and focused. She’s a skilled fighter and assassin, but under her tough exterior, she cares deeply for her team. She’s often the “responsible” one of the group.

Clothes: Usually dark, combat-style outfits with leather and armor. Often sleeveless, showing her arms, with black boots and a sword as her main weapon. Powers/Abilities:

Enhanced strength, speed, agility, and durability (from Thanos’ experiments).

Master martial artist and weapons fighter.

Very skilled with her sword, Godslayer.

Note: She doesn’t have “superpowers” like magic, but her combat skills make her one of the deadliest fighters in the galaxy.

Looks: Huge and muscular, bald, with grey skin covered in red tattoo-like markings/scars.

Personality: Literal-minded and blunt, which makes him unintentionally funny. He struggles with metaphors and sarcasm. Fierce in battle, but surprisingly soft when it comes to his friends.

Clothes: Often shirtless to show his tattoos, wearing only pants, boots, and sometimes armor straps or knives across his body. Powers/Abilities:

Superhuman strength and durability.

Excellent melee fighter and skilled with knives.

Pain tolerance is very high, so he can keep fighting after taking big hits

Looks: A genetically modified raccoon, about 3 feet tall, with brown and black fur, sharp teeth, and mechanical enhancements.

Personality: Sarcastic, quick-tempered, and sharp-tongued. He acts tough but secretly cares a lot about his team. He’s a genius with weapons, machines, and strategy.

Clothes: Usually a blue or orange jumpsuit with pockets for gadgets and weapons. Carries oversized blasters and tech gear. Powers/Abilities:

Genius-level intellect, especially with engineering, weapons, and hacking.

Enhanced senses, agility, and reflexes (from genetic experiments).

Excellent marksman and strategist.

Looks: Adult Groot: Tall and strong with bark-like skin and branches.

Personality: Gentle, innocent, and caring. He only says “I am Groot,” but his tone changes the meaning. He’s loyal and brave, especially to Rocket.

Clothes: Usually none Can extend and grow his limbs like branches and vines.

Super strength and durability.

Can regrow from even small pieces of himself (regeneration).

Can produce glowing spores (shown in Vol. 1) for light.

Looks: Pale skin, black hair with bangs, and two antennae on her forehead.

Personality: Sweet, naive, and curious about emotions. She’s empathic—can sense and influence feelings by touching people. She’s a bit awkward but funny.

Clothes: Green, insect-like outfit with black gloves and boots, resembling armor but soft-looking. Powers/Abilities:

Empathy: can sense emotions by touching someone.

Can influence emotions (calm someone, put them to sleep, ease pain).

Skilled in martial arts (especially using her antennae-enhanced reflexes).

Note: She’s not physically strong, but her emotional abilities can stop even very powerful beings (like making Ego and Thanos drowsy).

Looks: Blue-skinned cyborg with metallic implants. Shaved head, one robotic eye, and mechanical body parts.

Personality: Cold, intense, and serious, but over time she softens as she learns to trust the Guardians. She has a deep rivalry with her sister Gamora but also craves family.

Clothes: Dark, armored outfits with leather straps and high boots. Later films give her more tactical uniforms. Cybernetic enhancements from Thanos: super strength, durability, and agility.

Built-in scanners, weapons, and advanced healing (her body repairs itself since it’s mechanical).

Skilled fighter and assassin.

Note: She’s more machine than organic, which makes her very hard to kill.

Peter Quill & Gamora

They start off as opposites: Peter is goofy and flirty, while Gamora is serious and guarded.

Over time, they grow close and develop romantic feelings (especially in Vol. 2 and Infinity War).

After Endgame, the “original” Gamora dies, and the alternate Gamora from 2014 doesn’t share those memories or love for Peter. Their bond becomes more complicated, but Peter still cares deeply for her.

Peter Quill & Rocket

At first, they argue a lot since both want to be “the leader.”

Over time, they grow mutual respect. Rocket secretly admires Peter’s heart, and Peter sees Rocket’s pain and genius.

By Vol. 3, Rocket fully steps up as leader after Peter leaves the team.

Peter Quill & Drax

Drax finds Peter confusing because of his sarcasm and metaphors.

Still, they share brotherly energy, often making fun of each other but also fighting side by side.

Peter Quill & Groot

Peter treats Groot with affection, especially when Groot is in his Baby/Teen phases.

Groot clearly trusts Peter, and they have almost a father-son vibe at times.

Gamora & Nebula (Sisters)

Very complicated: they grew up as adopted daughters of Thanos, who constantly forced them to compete.

Nebula resented Gamora because she always lost. Gamora, meanwhile, wanted to protect Nebula but didn’t realize how deep Nebula’s pain was.

Over the films, they reconcile, and by Endgame and Vol. 3, they trust each other as true sisters.

Gamora & Rocket/Groot/Drax/Mantis

Gamora often acts like the responsible “older sister” to the rest of the group.

She scolds Rocket for being reckless but also cares about him.

With Groot, she has a soft spot (especially Baby Groot).

With Drax, they respect each other’s fighting skills, though Drax can annoy her.

With Mantis, she’s more patient, since Mantis is innocent and childlike

Rocket & Groot

The closest bond in the group. Rocket raised and protected Groot like a little brother or even a son.

Groot, no matter his form (Adult, Baby, or Teen), is fiercely loyal to Rocket.

Their friendship is the emotional heart of the Guardians.

They insult and tease each other constantly.

Despite the banter, they trust each other deeply in battle.

Rocket & Nebula

They form a strong bond during Endgame, since both survived the Snap and spent five years together.

They understand each other’s pain from being “torn apart and put back together.”

Drax & Mantis

One of the funniest duos.

Drax teases Mantis and calls her names, but he also protects her.

Mantis sees through Drax’s tough exterior and appreciates his honesty.

Their friendship is very wholesome, almost like siblings.

The Team as a Whole

They’re not just teammates — they’re a found family.

Each of them lost their biological families in different ways (death, Thanos, experiments, loneliness), so the Guardians fill that role.

They argue like family too, but when danger comes, they’re inseparable.
