You were currently staying with Sam at his families home on the docks alongside Bucky. You hadn't been feeling too well all day and now it was late at night. You hadn't been able to sleep, this migraine came out of nowhere.

You wander into Sam's families kitchen, searching freezer for an ice pack of some kind. You didn't want to use their bag of peas given it was their food and not your own. With a fustrated sigh, you turn around. Bucky was asleep on the sofa in the living, well at least he looked asleep. The two of you got along decently well, he seemed to care about you and you cared about him. When you saw his metal arm, you had probably the most stupid idea ever but he was asleep so he'd never know. You walk over quietly, sitting down on the floor beside the sofa, his metal arm was almost hanging off the side of the sofa anyway. You glance at his face once more, he definitely looked fast asleep so you took the chance. You lean your forehead against the cold metal of his arm.

With your eyes closed, you had no idea Bucky had felt the touch and opened his eyes. He was never fully asleep in the first place. He looked down, recognising you from the back of your head even in the dark. A small teasing smile came onto his lips.

B: "What're you doing there, Doll?"

You lift your head immediately when you hear his voice although you definitely lifted up too quick because you got dizzy. Your hand went straight to your head, eyes tightly shut. Bucky saw that and got the feeling it was a headache or migraine so his smile became a kinder more caring one.

B: "Just put your head back down, Doll. It's fine."

You open your eyes slowly and look at him when the dizziness calmed down a bit. He didn't seem to tease you again, he seemed more caring now.

You: "Are you sure?"

Bucky felt like for once his metal arm was being useful it a simple and gentle way that was also for good and not for bad. He liked that, and he liked knowing he could help you get relief.
