B Barnes 17

You, Bucky, Sam and John were at the house after apart of the mission went a little sideways. John had been wondering a lot why you were even there. Sure you could fight and you looked good but he hadn't seen much else.

J: "What's your last name?"

You: "Barnes."

J: "Oh! So you're Bucky's sister,"

John said, having the realisation even if he was wrong. He just didn't know he was wrong yet.

J: "Makes sense why you're here then."

Bucky was sat on the sofa watching the entire interaction. It was no secret Bucky wasn't John's biggest fan to begin with so he had no shame in proving him wrong.

B: "Wrong."

John turned, looking at Bucky when he spoke. His face one of surprise when he said it was wrong.

J: "Wrong?"

Bucky rose from the sofa, Sam stepping back because he didn't want to get involved knowing how both you and Bucky were so protective of each other.

B: "She's actually my wife."

J: "Is he lying?"

John asked then as he turned back to face you as he did.

You: "No. He's my husband."

As you answered him honestly, John's face fell a little and he looked away from you. He glanced at Bucky who obviously didn't seem the most pleased then looked down with a sigh.
