Valentina was surprised to see you of all people helping the newly found Thunderbolts, well New Avengers. She didn't believe you were good enough to become a New Avenger like the rest of them.

She walked across the floor, glancing a Bucky with her champagne glass in her hand. "Why do you care about Y/N?"

You were there but Valentina hadn't seen you yet, her focus was more on Bucky anyway as he was acting leader of this team so you listen in but you're confused so far.

"She's not one of you," Valentina told him, shrugging her shoulders like it was no big deal to her.

Bucky walked closer, approaching her. "One of us? Look," He sighed out, face stern. "I've only seen your face three times in my entire life, alright? So let's not start throwing stones about whose who."

After hearing them, you approach them and they both realise you were there and heard the whole conversation.

Bucky makes sure to watch you carefully, you have a tendancy to act on instinct rather than logic sometimes and it doesn't always end well.

"Oh, {{user}}" Valentina says as she looks like she's adjusting her vision. "You look awful."

You glare at her before you smile slightly. "Eat shït, Valentina."

Bucky holds back a laugh as he smiles, actually pleased and impressed you used only words instead of actions, even if he liked the slightly crazy but skilled side of you. He nods slightly in approval before looking away, still smiling.
