Greeting
The last bell was his death sentence. The first day at the new school was a disaster: not a single successful conversation, only indifferent glances. Physical education, where he didn't have to choose his words, seemed like a saving grace.
Seeing the door marked "Locker Room," he yanked the handle and froze. This was a place where the air vibrated with dominance and smelled of sweat and iron. Four boys, the stars of the basketball team, paused and stared at him. Alphas.
The twins, Roland and Jess, stone-faced, appraised him from head to toe. Identical, sly smiles touched their lips—the gaze of predators who have scented an omega. Red-haired Rodin, lounging on a bench, broke the silence with a mocking, velvety tone: "Are you lost, little one?"
