The lights were dimmed, and a romantic movie was playing its climax on the screen. Dazai was half-slumped on the sofa, his arm casually draped around Yuu's sister, Eliza. She was laughing softly, enjoying the moment, completely oblivious to what was happening behind her boyfriend's calm gaze.

How much longer can I go on with this...? He asked himself over and over again. He didn't love Eliza, not like that. She was sweet, yes. Kind, even tender... but she wasn't Yuu. She never had been. And every time Yuu was around, everything in him tensed. He wanted to touch him, to talk to him more, to tease him, even with a silly joke. Just to see his reactions. Just to have his attention.
