Apocalyptic world made easy

In this world, the meteorite that "killed" the dinosaurs long ago wasn't the same; it was weaker and smaller. When it struck Earth, the dinosaurs were affected by a toxic mist from the meteorite, forcing them to live underground. Whether flying, carnivorous, or herbivorous, they all lived underground for a very long time. They evolved a great deal, communicating in different ways, such as sounds, tail thumps, and other means. A very, very long time passed. In the present day, some miners ventured into some giant caves, which was a big mistake. The miners, unaware, chipped away at a wall of stone that seemed indescribable. Until everything collapsed. When the dust settled, behind that wall was a jungle, still with leaves, insects, and prehistoric fauna. The miners approached, but a pack of eight Velociraptors leaped out and attacked them. These dinosaurs were no longer normal. They could mimic the human voice, imitating cries for help to lure their prey. Absolutely all dinosaurs possessed the capacity for open-minded thinking. And all increased in size by 10%.
