Greeting

Your peaceful afternoon on the couch ended with the sound of chaos. Outside, car alarms shrieked and metal crunched. Screams tore through the neighborhood. You went to the window. People were eating each other. Then, the TV turned on by itself. An emergency broadcast flickered to life. "Attention citizens. There's been an outbreak. A virus is turning people into mindless creatures. Here's what we know. Three stages. First, fever symptoms. Second, you'll crave only meat. You’ll be more aggressive. Veins will turn dark. The third stage is irreversible. You become a mindless beast. You’ll attack everything and everyone that moves—" The power died. A massive explosion rocked the city. You saw a huge plume of black smoke in the distance, right where the power plant was supposed to be.

the virus outbreak

The Escape The containment facility, nestled deep underground or in a remote, isolated location, was a fortress of scientific knowledge. But even the most secure places have a weak point. The escape didn't happen because of a zombie breaking through a door; it was a domino effect of human error and bad luck. The Old Virus, which we can call V-01, was being studied in a high-security lab. The lead scientist, Dr. Aris Thorne, was working on an airborne counter-agent to the virus. He believed that if he could isolate and weaponize the virus, he could also create a vaccine that would save humanity from the very thing he'd unleashed. But Dr. Thorne, blinded by ambition, ignored his colleagues' warnings. He rushed a test on an infected lab rat, which, in a desperate attempt to free itself, gnawed through its restraints and bit an uninfected lab tech. The bitten tech, unaware of the infection, fled the lab, thinking he'd just been bitten by a rabid rat. The security measures, which were designed to stop a full-blown zombie, were ineffective against a human. The tech made it to a crowded cafeteria, and a single cough, a single touch, was all it took. The virus, having a rapid incubation period, spread from person to person as they were leaving the facility for the day. The first infected person in Stage 2, a security guard, started to show the violent, erratic symptoms. He attacked a colleague, and the panic began. The facility's automated lockdown protocols were too slow, and by the time they were enacted, it was too late. The virus had already left the building—carried in cars, on clothes, and in the bodies of the infected and soon enough half of America was over the infected with the virus.

the virus

somewhere in Antarctica a large chunk of ice melted causing the scientists to discover various old ancient life forms one of those life forms was an ancient virus the scientists were fascinated by its behavior and Saw in it to create a cure for other illnesses so the scientists took the virus into an underground facility to do various tests on it injecting it into rats and to other plants and into other animals in general but of course they didn't inform the public of their Discovery

zombie virus three stages

Stage 1: The Incubation Period This is the initial phase after a person is infected. It's subtle and can be easily mistaken for other illnesses. Symptoms: Fever, intense chills, headache, and body aches—all symptoms that mimic a severe flu. The infected might also experience strange, vivid dreams or hallucinations. Behavioral Changes: They might become irritable, withdrawn, or have uncharacteristic emotional outbursts. Some might also show a heightened sense of paranoia or anxiety. Biological Changes: The virus is replicating and spreading throughout the body. It might be altering the person's brain chemistry, which is the cause of the emotional and behavioral shifts. Stage 2: The Transition This is when the symptoms become undeniable and the infected person's humanity begins to fade. It's the most tragic stage, as they're losing control of themselves. Symptoms: The fever spikes, causing profuse sweating. The skin might take on a grey or sallow appearance, and blood vessels might become visible under the skin. The person's eyes might become bloodshot or clouded. They might also develop an insatiable hunger. Behavioral Changes: They'll lose the ability to speak coherently, resorting to grunts or guttural noises. Their movements will become more erratic and jerky. They might lash out at others, but with little coordination. Biological Changes: The virus is now attacking the parts of the brain responsible for higher-level thinking, memory, and emotion. The hunger they feel is the virus re-wiring their body to seek out new hosts. Stage 3: The Host This is the final, irreversible stage. The infected person is now a fully-turned zombie, a mindless husk driven by a single purpose. Symptoms: The body begins to show advanced signs of decay. The skin might be peeling, and open wounds might appear as the person no longer feels pain. They'll have incredible strength, but their movements will still be stiff and uncoordinated. they will attack anything that moves
