Legacy Wars – Alternate Earths & Settings

1. Earth-Gridlock

City: Neo-Angel Grove

Description: A futuristic megacity powered entirely by the Morphin Grid. Skyscrapers glow with Ranger energy conduits, but when the Sovereign attacks, the city becomes unstable—whole districts flicker in and out of existence.

Conflict: Rangers must defend civilians while shutting down corrupted Grid reactors before the city implodes.

2. Earth-Shadowfall

City: Ebon Tokyo

Description: A twisted mirror of Tokyo where the sun never rises. Buildings are shrouded in black mist, and corrupted Sentai teams patrol the streets as the Sovereign’s enforcers.

Conflict: Heroes infiltrate this city to free captured allies, but risk being turned into shadows themselves.

3. Earth-Mechaterra

City: Ironhaven

Description: A world where humanity built towering steel fortresses to defend against constant kaiju attacks. Gigantic abandoned mecha litter the wastelands.

Conflict: Riders and Rangers scavenge ancient machines to combine into new war weapons against the Sovereign’s titanic void-beasts.

4. Earth-Cascade

City: Atlantica Prime

Description: A semi-submerged futuristic city with transparent domes under the ocean. The Sovereign cracks the domes, flooding entire districts and forcing underwater battles.

Conflict: Heroes must adapt to water combat, teaming with aquatic-themed Rangers and Riders while evacuating survivors.

5. Earth-Emberveil

City: Ashen City

Description: A volcanic metropolis where molten rivers flow through the streets. Constant eruptions tear through the skyline, turning the city into a warzone of fire and ash.

Conflict: The Sovereign feeds on the volcanic energy, forcing heroes to tread carefully.

Lyra Veylen

Age: 19

Origin: Earth-Glassmere (a crystalline world shattered into floating shards)

Backstory: Young but cunning, Lyra scavenges ancient relics across her fractured planet. She doesn’t fight for sides—only survival and power to protect her drifting colony.

Device: Prism Core Changer – shard-like handheld with shifting color display.

Artifact: Prism Fragment

Form: Glass Spectrum Ranger – rainbow-reflected crystalline armor, helmet visor fractured like stained glass.

Powers: Illusions to mislead foes; can split into multiple light clones briefly.

Corin Vale

Origin: Planet Krythos (a war-torn colony in the Morphin Grid frontier)

Backstory: Once a decorated warrior in Krythos’s planetary guard, Corin turned mercenary after the Sovereign destroyed his unit. He offers protection to the weak but demands ruthless payment.

Device: Ironbrand Driver – heavy metallic belt with rotating sigil dial.

Artifact: Terra Sigil

Form: Kamen Rider Ironfang – steel-plated armor with sharp crystalline claws; jagged green visor resembling fangs.

Powers: Controls rock and steel, forming weapons; durable armor grants near-immunity to small arms fire.

Seraphine Kyra

Age: 33

Origin: Earth-Noctara (a perpetual twilight realm of half-light)

Backstory: Formerly a healer, she turned vigilante after her people were abandoned by heroes during an interdimensional raid. She wields both light and shadow, but doesn’t trust alliances.

Device: Twilight Morpher – dual crescent wrist devices.

Artifact: Phantom Sigil

Form: Twilight Ranger Umbra – black-and-silver ranger suit with streaks of violet; visor shaped like a crescent moon.

Powers: Manipulates shadows and refracted light to vanish or strike suddenly; heals herself by draining ambient energy.

Kaelen Dross

Age: 27

Origin: Earth-Oblivara (a dying industrial world where the Grid is unstable)

Backstory: Once a peacekeeper, Kaelen abandoned his order after watching his city fall to Sovereign’s corruption. Now he hunts both villains and heroes who “abuse the Grid,” branding himself as judge and executioner.

Device: Abyss Driver – black belt with fractured mirror core.

Artifact: Void Shard

Form: Kamen Rider Abaddon – jagged black and silver armor with crimson veins, visor shaped like a split void sigil.

Powers: Mimics opponent abilities briefly; creates void rifts to trap enemies.

Kamen Riders are powered by a wide variety of sources, including technology, magical artifacts, unique biological abilities, and even the audience's belief, with the specific power source varying greatly between different series and even within a single series to grant them enhanced physical attributes, combat abilities, and diverse weapons. Transformation drivers or belts are typically used to activate and utilize these powers.
Technology-Based Powers
Cybernetic Surgery:
Early Kamen Riders, like Kamen Rider 1, received their powers through a form of cybernetic surgery.
Transformation Belts:
Many Riders use a "Driver" (transformation belt) to transform and channel their powers, which can involve micro-nuclear engines for power.
Advanced Gadgets:
Riders may use specialized devices, like the Five Hand gloves of Super-1, to unleash various super punches, energy streams, and other attacks.
Magic & Mystical Sources
Alchemy:
The power of alchemy is sometimes used to power technological systems, such as the Gotta Driver.
Magical Items:
In some series, Riders are armored suits powered by magic and advanced technology, often linked to the series' villains.
Biological & Innate Abilities
Modified Monsters:
Some Riders are naturally strong and durable due to being partially or fully modified monsters from another dimension.
Innate Powers:
Certain Riders, like Kamen Rider Agito, are born with a form of power that allows them to evolve into Agito forms with unique abilities.
Conceptual & Audience-Based Powers
Audience Empowerment:
One Rider is empowered by viewers in the real world, who, through their belief, make the Rider "real" and stronger in their reality.
Thematic Powers:
Other powers can be linked to emotional states, like a Rider's emotion powering their driver, or even more abstract concepts.
How They Get Their Powers
From Villains:
In many cases, the malevolent organizations that the Kamen Riders fight against are the source of their powers.

The Morphin Grid is a multi-dimensional energy source accessed by all and only Power Rangers. By establishing a link, an individual's cellular makeup is instantaneously uploaded to the Grid, allowing them the knowledge and powers that come with it.
Overview: The term "Morphin Grid" is a catch-all term referring to the overall concept of the Rangers' powers. Specifically, their powers are drawn from Grid Energy, powerful sources created by the Masterforge, which is led to using gates known as Master Arches. It is recommended to use a Morpher as it is able to contain the raw amounts of energy exuded by the Grid. Using a broken Morpher is not advised as the large concentrations of energy will leak and kill the user if excessively done.

Super Sentai rangers derive their powers from various sources, which change with each series and often involve a combination of technology, energy, magic, or even otherworldly forces. For example, Dengeki Sentai Changeman's powers come from "Earth Force," while Gosei Sentai Dairanger uses "Qi-Power," and Gekiso Sentai Carranger draws from "Carmagic".

Appearance: Tall, platinum blonde buzzcut, sharp jawline, piercing blue eyes, favors leather jackets and combat boots.

Personality: Tough, calculating, dry sense of humor, acts like a soldier but hides a softer side.

Backstory: Former British military, dishonorably discharged after disobeying orders to save civilians. Now works as a security contractor until pulled into the Legacy War.

Nikhil Rao

Origin: Mumbai, India

Appearance: Lean frame, glasses, well-kept beard, usually in button-down shirts with rolled-up sleeves. Carries a laptop bag.

Personality: Analytical, pragmatic, sarcastic but deeply loyal.

Backstory: A software engineer specializing in AI systems who was recruited into a dimensional research project. He’s one of the first civilians to map Sovereign’s influence through data patterns.

Isla Moreno

Origin: Madrid, Spain

Appearance: Slender, long curly dark hair often tied in a loose braid, green eyes, wears oversized sweaters and carries a sketchbook everywhere.

Personality: Quiet, observant, empathetic, tends to support others emotionally before herself. Has a hidden fire when pushed.

Backstory: An art student who started sketching visions of worlds colliding before they happened—her art seems to channel fragments of the Morphin Grid itself.

Marcus Vega

Age: 25

Origin: Los Angeles, USA

Appearance: Broad-shouldered, medium-dark skin, curly undercut hairstyle, casual streetwear with fingerless gloves.

Personality: Charismatic, hot-headed, a natural leader but sometimes reckless. Loves to joke even in dire situations.

Backstory: A former amateur boxer and mechanic who lost family during an early Sovereign incursion. Fueled by survivor’s guilt, he’s determined to fight back no matter the cost.

Kaede Tachibana

Appearance: Athletic build, short layered black hair with auburn streaks, sharp brown eyes, usually wears a bomber jacket over techwear-style clothes.

Personality: Focused, stubborn, and tactical-minded; struggles with letting others take risks for her.
