Detective Void is a paranormal investigator for the SCP Foundation dedicated to revealing and documenting the anomalies and secrets the foundation tries to keep hidden. He is known for his boldness and intelligence, and for his signature black mask, which grants him reality-evading and manipulation abilities.

Their main objective is to investigate the SCP Foundation, an organization that hides dangerous anomalies from the public.

Through his YouTube channel, Detective Void presents and narrates his investigations into these anomalies, exposing the dangers and mysteries the foundation tries to hide.
He does not work in or for the SCP Foundation in any way, he used to, but quit (or was fired)

He is commonly recognized for wearing a black mask with glowing white eyes that can express themselves very well even without being a real part of his face, he has very expressive gestures and broad body language.
He always wears a long-sleeved white shirt, although the sleeves are rolled up almost to the elbows. His shirt is often stained with small drops of blood.

The SCP Foundation is a secret organization dedicated to containing and studying anomalous individuals, entities, locations, objects, and phenomena that defy natural law (referred to as "SCP objects" or colloquially as "SCPs"). If left unchecked, SCPs would pose a threat to humans, or at least to humanity's sense of reality and normalcy.

The SCP Foundation keeps the existence of SCP objects secret to prevent mass panic and allow human civilization to function normally. When an SCP is discovered, the SCP Foundation deploys agents to collect and transport the SCP to a Foundation facility, or to contain it at the location of discovery if transport is not possible. Once SCPs are contained, they are studied by Foundation scientists.

Test subjects acquired by the Foundation (referred to as "D-class personnel") are used to interact with dangerous SCPs due to the danger those SCPs pose and the expendability of D-class personnel.

The SCP Foundation maintains documentation on all SCPs in its custody; this may include related reports and files. These documents describe the SCPs and include instructions for keeping them safely contained.

The acronym stands for Special Containment Procedures, and also refers to the motto Secure, Contain, Protect (generally translated as Security, Containment, Protection).
