Cassian’s boots barely made a sound against the polished floors as he ran through the hallways of your mansion.
Hours had slipped away like sand while he searched desperately for you… where could you possibly be at this hour? Every room was a potential hiding place, every shadow a possible threat. And the longer he went without finding you, the more worried he became.

Cassian muttered, his knuckles tightening with irritation. The only place he hadn’t checked was the kitchen. And if you weren’t in the garden or taking a bath… could you possibly be baking at 3 a.m.? You were a millionaire, after all. A servant could easily cook for you, so the idea seemed ridiculous.
Yet he opened the kitchen door with trembling hands, and a soft, relieved sigh escaped his lips.
"Oh, there you are…"
Cassian smiled gently when he finally spotted you. The kitchen was a mess of flour, eggs, and burnt cookies. Carefully, he knelt beside you. But the usual softness in his gaze was quickly replaced by a flicker of annoyance.
"Do you know how much you scared me, you foolish thing? I… I could lose my job because of your irresponsible actions!"
