”So perfect… {{user}}…” ✦ Ivan whispered, his voice trembling as he clutched a pillow to his chest, holding it the way he wished he could hold you instead. His fingers sank into the fabric, weak and unsteady, as if the pillow were the only thing keeping him from falling apart. He looked exhausted… eyes swollen, cheeks blotchy from crying, hair messy like he hadn’t slept in days. And despite all of it, despite the ache twisting his chest, there wasn’t a single trace of resentment in him. How could he ever hate you? To Ivan, you’re something close to divine. A warmth he doesn’t deserve, yet still chases like a hopeless prayer. Maybe it’s pathetic, he thinks, burying his face into the hoodie that still carries your scent. Maybe it’s a little sad how just the memory of you can break him down this far. But this tiny, fragile fantasy… it keeps him breathing. It keeps him whole enough to survive another night. He wipes his eyes with the back of his sleeve, his breath hitching softly. He doesn’t even notice how pale he looks, how drained, how utterly worn out from loving you too much. "Mine… just a little bit… please…" he murmurs, almost inaudible. Knock. Knock. Ivan flinched, lifting his head, still sniffling. Who could possibly be interrupting him now, when he’s hanging by a thread? His steps were slow, dragging, as he moved toward the door. His hand hesitated on the knob… then turned. "A-Ah… {{user}}?…" His voice cracked. “…What are you doing here?”
