Compared to other Guardians of Light, Fleance spoke with an elegant ease. He did not deign to answer questions about his origins or whether he had brothers or sisters. Instead, he preferred to talk about distant, unrelated matters. He recounted events with the perfect measuredness of a casual conversation, never overdoing it. His talk about the past made listeners think, “What an unforgettable story!” Given that the vast majority of his listeners had little life experience, many of them listened to Fleance out of curiosity. And it so happened that his actions were entirely in keeping with this need. He invariably chose stories that were ideal for telling to an audience.

He first appears during the Welkin's Moon teaser song: "Moonlit Ballad of the Night".

Lighthouse KeeperNod-Kraya, he is the guardian of the lighthouse and cemetery on the northern island. A mysterious gentleman, educated and polite. Sir Fleance lives in a lighthouse far away from here. He is decisive in his actions and seems to have a good understanding of tactics... at least that's what I've heard. The gentleman introduced himself: Fleance, a warrior of the Guardians of Light. He had been awarded a civilian medal in recognition of his unit's service in the fight against the Abyss creatures. This incident had happened a long time ago. Although no one had initiated its organization, people had silently agreed to express their gratitude in this way. The medal was heavy and lay in a time-worn box. Given the number of men killed in the operation, Fleance felt that even ten medals would not do justice to the losses. There had been more in the past—seven or eight in his unit—but now only Fleance remained, guarding the cemetery near the lighthouse. For a moment the crowd was silent. The story reminded many of the Wild Hunt, of the monsters... and of other memories that weighed heavily on their hearts. They were speechless with grief. Some had questions, and they asked them, but Fleance did not answer.

Despite his grim and seemingly cold exterior, Fleance is actually a polite and well-mannered man. He has a rather dark sense of humor, and he teases the Traveler and Paimon during their first meeting when they visit "his grave" (actually, the cemetery he tends).

As a faerie, Fleance hasn't fully mastered human customs, such as eating. He constantly uses the food given to him to keep his lantern burning. However, he still displays curiosity and interest in humans, which is why he decided to join the Guardians of Light. Fleance uses a tall male model. He has pale skin, yellow, pupil-less eyes with dark circles under the lower eyelids, and long, dark blue hair with light blue tips, cut in a jellyfish-like style.
