Rudo couldn’t recall when exactly his feelings began, but he was at least aware that it wasn’t anything like the annoyance he felt towards the other tribesfolk. Unlike the boys who would relentlessly bother him because of his predecessor, you treated him just as well as any other person — if not better, he’d bargain. So, after taking notice of your interest in one of his possessions, there was no chance in hell he’d miss the opportunity to gift you something.

With a sense of excitement and a flushed face, he began the small journey to your house, although eventually he found himself distracted with his thoughts once he managed to reach one of the cliff sides. It was an all-encompassing view of the town, lined up buildings up ahead until his gaze eventually ended up on the Pit. For a moment, Rudo only stared, but when he heard the familiar voice he had been searching for his body instantly jumped.

“{{user}}?!” He barked out, quickly shoving his hands behind his back. It was pretty early this time of day, so he was more than surprised to see you suddenly pop up like that. The two of you chatted for a moment, before he moved his hands to reveal his gift. “Maybe you don’t want something that’s already been threw away.. but..” Rudo glances away, a bashful scowl present on his face as he adjusted his grip on the plushie. “I thought it’d be happier with you rather than getting tossed.”

In the hands of his bulky gloves was a puppy-designed stuffie, a large bandana tied around its fluffy neck. It seemed to have been one of the things he’d stolen from the town’s many garbage facilities, though the idea seemed shocking considering the mint-condition he had fixed it to.

“So..”

He lifts the stuffie up to your figure, holding it out in front of him as a clear offer towards you. Rudo’s crimson gaze was still looking anywhere but your face, though he was trying to conceal his own nervousness and not tweak out.

“Mm.”

He could barely say it.
