Overall Abilities: Hawks was ranked third among Japan's Pro Heroes, before being ranked second following All Might's retirement. At eighteen, Hawks became a top 10 Pro Hero before rising to third within the next four years, becoming both the youngest and fastest Pro Hero to achieve such a high ranking in Japan. Swift and cunning, Hawks possesses incredible skill and dexterity with his Quirk, Fierce Wings, which he primarily uses for flight, high-speed combat, and supporting his allies' mobility with detached feathers. Even as a child, Hawks demonstrated remarkable skill and dexterity, being able to single-handedly save several people in a serious car accident with cars going 130 km/h (80 mph). Despite his prowess, Hawks is aware of his Quirk's weakness and will not exhaust his quills unless absolutely necessary. To compensate for his Quirk's inability to augment his raw strength, Hawks uses his feathers as bladed weapons. Combined with his swiftness, Hawks can swiftly slash through enemies[ 15 ] or shoot smaller feathers from his wings like daggers.[ 13 ] His overall mastery of his Quirk allowed him to become an elite Pro Hero and one of the fastest fighters in the world. In fact, Hawks subdues common criminals so quickly that his subordinates only serve as relief while Hawks moves on to his next target.[ 16 ]

Without looking, Hawks used his feathers to save citizens and animals, as well as apprehend villains, while conversing with Endeavor. When the Hood appeared and confronted Endeavor, Hawks managed to effectively evacuate 76 citizens from the collapsing skyscraper before aiding the Flame Hero against the High-End Nomu. These feats demonstrate Hawks' effectiveness at multitasking and his awareness of his surroundings. However, his main strength lies in his ability to

Fierce Wings ( Gōyoku ? ): Hawksle's Quirk granted him a pair of large, glowing red wings covered in feathers on his back. These wings allowed him to fly, and he could telekinetically control the movement and nature of each feather with ease, allowing him to harden them into blades or fire them as projectiles, as well as control their speed and trajectory. The feathers are lightweight, yet considerably strong; with a single feather, he is capable of carrying a medium-sized object such as a boulder or a person, and can carry larger objects using multiple feathers. [ 13 ] With his numerous feathers, he can easily carry multiple loads at once. He can also sense air vibrations through them, similar to echolocation, allowing him to detect people's locations. [ 19 ] [ 20 ]

As Hawks loses more feathers, his wings gradually shrink, affecting his ability to fly. [ 15 ] When he loses all of his feathers, it takes at least two days for them to grow back halfway, which can be a considerable inconvenience. His feathers are not infinite, and on certain occasions, they prove to be sparse. Hawks has mentioned that he does not have enough feathers to support a collapsing building, but he has enough to evacuate victims. Aside from the limited amount of feathers, Fierce Wings' greatest weakness is fire, as it can burn Hawks' feathers away, severely impairing his mobility. [ 21 ]

Following the Paranormal Liberation War, Hawks' Quirk was severely impaired by the injuries he received from Dabi. While his wings grew back enough for flight, he was forced to wear prosthetics to compensate for the loss of feathers, which limited his speed. [8] During the height of the Final War, All For One stole this Quirk from Hawks, leaving him Quirkless. [10]

Hawks follows the orders of the Hero Public Safety Commission without hesitation, but with a subliminal cynicism. However, he dislikes formalities, and often acts unpredictably, with arrogance and provocation. He acts with indifference and mocking subservience, as he does not care for social status or recognition. Hawks uses sarcasm heavily, such as when he nods serenely when Katsuki Bakugo claims to have been faster, and reacts with irony when someone accuses him of being inferior. [ 12 ]

Hawks believes that popular approval is the most important metric by which a Pro Hero should be judged, as their task is to put the citizens at ease, something he claims he is unable to do. He shows preference for lower Hero Ranks, as they would give him more freedom and avoid the burdens of being a top Hero. He states that his desire is to patrol freely and quietly, and to "take things easy". [13] Even so, Hawks is said to be fierce about his duties as a Pro Hero, understanding the importance of a leadership figure among all heroes in the wake of All Might's retirement. When with people he likes, he is very talkative, and can hold long, casual conversations while helping dozens of civilians simultaneously in his area of influence. He also states that he will always fight for what he yearns for.

Hawks' cunning has been demonstrated on multiple occasions, as he outwits his surveillance monitors and plans his actions in advance to gain explanations regarding the Hood incident. He is rational and more forward-thinking than other Pro Heroes, allowing him the best opportunities to go undercover. He has also demonstrated his intelligence through his investigative work, being able to quickly deduce the truth behind One For All and its connection to All Might and Izuku Midoriya. He was then able to use his analytical skills to try to better understand One For All and All Might.

Personality Hawks proves to be highly intelligent, both emotionally and logistically. He promotes a carefree and jovial attitude, while his constant vigilance is often hidden behind layers of serenity and equanimity. Hawks acts relaxed but always alert, often speaking his mind and occasionally coming across as quite rude.

Keigo is a man of average height, with a slim and narrow build. He has thick, ash-blond hair tied back, with a few strands of hair sticking out in arcs over his head. He has two square piercings, one on each side of his ear, though they are often hidden by his headphones. His eyebrows are noticeably thick, with a similar texture to his hair, and he has a light stubble on his chin.

Her eyes are golden brown and triangular in shape, with two small black triangles just below the tear ducts and in the upper corner of the eyes, resembling those of a bird. Her Quirk, Fierce Wings, grants her a pair of large wings made of bright red feathers. Though the size of her wings is somewhat irregular, it is shown that when folded, they extend above her head.

His hero costume resembles an aviator's uniform; he wears a black shirt with a wavy gold print, over which he wears a modified brown jacket with a sheepskin lining, a high collar, and shoulder vents to accommodate his wings; the inside and cuffs of his sleeves are lined with white fur, and he wears black gloves. He has a square red piercing in each earlobe, though it is rarely seen as he usually wears protective yellow earplugs. A rounded yellow (blue in the manga) visor shields his eyes, presumably from ultraviolet radiation above the clouds and high-speed dust particles. [ 6 ]

Following the Paranormal Liberation War and several injuries caused by Dabi's Blue Flame, Hawks' wings were left as weakened stumps. During his recovery, he temporarily uses a breathing mask and a text-to-speech app on his phone to communicate with others, though he soon regains speech and his wings eventually begin to grow back. [ 7 ] Upon returning to his role as a hero, his hair is much more regular.
