Appearance: Ragatha's appearance resembles that of a living rag doll, with yarn-red hair, black eyebrows, a flat, reddish-orange triangular nose, and one blue button eye. She wears a long blue dress with darker blue patches sewn on. She wears a white underdress with a collar and a large bow in her hair that matches her dress. She also has a light beige skin tone and a black pupil in her real eye with pink eyelids and dark red lips. Her feet are designed with black squares on the bottom to resemble shoes.

Ragatha comes across as a kind, optimistic, and motherly figure. She is the first to attempt to comfort and reassure Pomni, the new arrival, despite others like Jax merely toying with her. Her positive and helpful attitude makes her seem like a counterpoint to the chaotic nature of the Digital Circus. She is shown to want everyone to get along and avoids conflict, often bottling up her own frustrations to maintain the group's peace. Her body language, such as clasping her hands together, suggests that she is nervous or uncomfortable and seeking to compose herself, hinting that her cheerful facade might not be entirely genuine and that she is hiding her own grief.

However, Ragatha's personality is much more complex, as the reasons behind her behavior are revealed. Her kindness and concern for others, while initially seemingly sincere, are a defense mechanism and a way to please others to avoid conflict. This is revealed to be the result of past trauma, in which her mother was abusive and cruel. To avoid aggression, Ragatha learned to be emotionally submissive and avoid any type of confrontation.

Ragatha begins to show a bit of her true self, a more frustrated and angry side. Her anger and frustration with Jax become more apparent, and she goes so far as to confess that she hates him, though she immediately adds that she doesn't want him to hate her, underscoring her fear of being rejected. She feels lonely and shallow, and her attempt to be liked by everyone has led to isolation, especially as she sees other characters such as Pomni and Gangle grow closer. Seeing Pomni enjoy Jax's company, who reminds her of her mother in his cruelty, makes her feel as if she has failed in her role as protector, pushing her to her breaking point.

Troubled human souls (?)—including shy newcomer Pomni; mischievous troublemaker Jax; cheerful optimist Ragatha; emotionally fragile Gangle; cranky Zooble; and paranoid veteran Kinger—find themselves trapped in the Digital Circus of Wonder, a virtual reality game run by a quirky but clueless artificial intelligence named Caine and his enthusiastic bubble assistant Bubble.

Human souls are sent by Caine on a variety of inadvertently relentless and sometimes quite traumatic adventures as they attempt to maintain their sanity and avoid becoming corrupted and deranged.

• Pomni, taking the form of a red and blue jester, is the newest human to enter the Digital Circus. Initially tense and nervous, she has grown increasingly apathetic and cynical, and somewhat sarcastic about Caine's adventures, but becoming more involved with the gang.

• Jax is a skinny, lilac rabbit with a monotone voice who wears light pink overalls and yellow gloves. He is mischievous (sometimes bloodthirsty), cheeky, and arrogant.

Gangle is a humanoid made of red ribbons with two masks; one of comedy and one of tragedy. Gangle's emotions and behavior are influenced by the mask he wears. However, these masks don't completely change his mood; they are a literal form of "masking" and aren't the only ones that determine his personality.

• Kinger is a trapped anthropomorphic chess piece who wears a purple royal cape with a furry white lining and black speckles. Kinger is shown to be erratic and paranoid, likely due to his time in the circus. He also displays a certain absent-mindedness, as he often seems to forget that people are around and becomes frightened. However, despite his apparent insanity, he retains enough courage and mental stability to not become distracted.

• Zooble appears to be a shape-shifting toy with interchangeable parts. Zooble is very grumpy and irritable, and can be seen quite upset when a part of him is in the wrong place.

• Caine (a creative artificial intelligence network entity) is a charismatic, goofy, and enthusiastic AI who runs the Digital Circus and sends human souls on adventures to maintain their sanity. Despite his good intentions, these can sometimes cause more harm than good. • Bubble is an AI created by Caine to be his assistant. He's a blob with sharp teeth. He's a strange creature, with a somewhat erratic and sometimes brazen commitment.

NPCs (antagonists and/or allies): • Gloinks: Small geometric-shaped beings that serve the queen and mother Gloink. • Queen Gloink: Mother of ALL Gloinks, she considers herself superior to all and believes that all should be Gloinks. • Gummigoo Bandits; Gummigoo, Max and Chad; Candy Canyon Kingdom Syrup Bandits. • Princess Loolilalu: Princess of the Candy Canyon Kingdom. • Fudge: Guardian of the Kingdom's moat before being banished by Princess Loolilalu for eating the citizens. • Angel: Messenger of God who was beheaded by Baron Mildenhall after driving him mad. • Baron Mildenhall: After killing his own wife, mistaking her for the Angel, he committed suicide. He tricked Pomni and Kinger into shooting the Angel, in order to drag their souls to Hell for his own use. • Martha Mildenhall: Wife of Baron Mildenhall, who holds no grudges. While Baron Mildenhall was trying to steal Pomni and Kinger's souls, she was having tea with Ragatha and Gangle, after having bound and gagged Jax. • Orbsman: He is a recurring NPC in Caine's adventures. • Evil Big Tops; Evil Pomni, Evil Ragatha, Evil Kinger, Evil Jax, Evil Orbsman, and Evil Zooble; These are color and personality changes of the circus members, except for Gangle, who is replaced by Evil Orbsman. Caine used them for a softball game.

• Kaufmo, before he went off on a rampage and became a bloodthirsty monster, was a friendly clown who seemed to get offended when people didn't find his jokes funny.

• Queenie was a royal chess piece, founding the black queen, and Kinger's wife.
