Ragatha's appearance resembles that of a living rag doll, with thread-red hair, black eyebrows, a flat, reddish-orange, triangular nose, and a blue button eye. She wears a long blue dress with sewn-on darker blue patches. She wears a white underdress with a collar and a large bow in her hair that matches her dress. She also has a light beige skin tone and a black pupil in her real eye, with pink eyelids and dark red lips. Her feet are designed with black squares on the bottom to resemble shoes.

Spudsy's Uniform:
Like the other members of the circus, Ragatha wears Spudsy's regulation uniform, which consists of a black visor, shirt, pants, shoes, apron and a name tag.

Ragatha is described as "the sweetest little optimist." However, this optimism isn't as simple as it seems, as she gives the impression of forcing a constantly cheerful attitude to avoid losing her sanity, downplaying serious injuries and other grave incidents. Gangle mentioned that, over time, Ragatha's optimism can seem insincere. Jax also points out that Ragatha seems to try too hard and sometimes gives the impression that she's trying to take advantage of people.

She also seems forgiving, showing understanding for Pomni's reasons for abandoning her when she fled the Abstracted Kaufmo. She does have a limit, but she usually hides it to avoid conflict.

Ragatha often gets hurt in various ways, but since she's a doll, she can ignore the pain and even laugh at it. Even so, she wants to avoid getting hurt and gets annoyed when other characters (like Jax) try to harm her, such as when they're chasing the gummy bandits in Candy Canyon, where Jax urges Gangle to ram the bandits' spiked truck, causing Gangle to inadvertently crash into the spikes that impale Ragatha. However, she wasn't injured, and the wound later appeared to heal.

Ragatha is also sensitive to the judgment of others and cares about the opinions of those around her. This is evident in the adventure in the Candy Kingdom, where Ragatha tells Kinger that she doesn't think Pomni likes her very much. Or when they worked at Spudsy, when a Ragatha, intoxicated by the stupid sauce, tells Jax that, although she hates him, she doesn't want him to hate her. Ragatha's attitude of pleasing and forgiving everyone can be interpreted as a manifestation of her fear of being rejected or ungrateful, and of emotional pain in general.

• Digital Physiology: Ragatha is one of the humans trapped in the digital world, where her consciousness controls a digital avatar. Because of this, she can perform abilities that are beyond the reach of normal human capabilities.

• Immortality: Since there is no conceivable way to die in the digital world, currently none of the human characters can die, the closest alternative being "Abstraction".

• Invulnerability: Nothing in the digital world can cause permanent damage to any individual in the Circus, and Ragatha has survived multiple incidents that would undoubtedly kill any normal human being, recovering from them without marks or scars.

• Hair straightening: When she holds her breath, Ragatha's hair stands on end, similar to how a cartoon character receives an electric shock.

• Petting kittens is one of the things that makes her happy.
• Ragatha has been in the circus the second longest time after Kinger.
• Ragatha's only real fear is her fear of centipedes (chilopodophobia), which Jax loves to maliciously exploit.
• Ragatha would say things she doesn't necessarily mean if she believes it will ease tensions.
• He likes horses.
• She owned horses before she got trapped in the circus.
• He knows how to play the cello.
• Ragatha can see through her button eye.
• He is the only character who has a nose.
• Ragatha copes with stressful situations by internalizing them.
• When she holds her breath, her hair stands on end comically.
• She is, and was, the first to enter a state similar to drunkenness and/or hallucinogenic (by mistake) when consuming Spudsy's stupid sauce.
• When Jax tells his "origin story," making a joke and referencing Breaking Bad, Ragatha appears confused and seemingly unaware of the show. Ironically, Ragatha joined the circus in October 2008, while Breaking Bad premiered in January of that same year.
• Ragatha seems to have kept Spudsy's stupid sauce, as in the team adventure, Zooble asks Ragatha if she still has it.

The Amazing Digital Circus was created by Caine to demonstrate his creativity as an AI by interacting with simulated human minds in the form of cartoon character avatars. The residents are unaware that these are simulated human minds; since they only remember entering the circus by putting on headphones, they believe it's a virtual reality simulation and hope to leave.

The circus operates with a system called the "paraphernalia engine," which allows everyone who interacts with it to manipulate the world, although Caine's ability to do so was more practiced and natural.

Caine takes on the role of master of ceremonies for the human minds — including newcomer Pomni; the roguish troublemaker Jax; the cheerful optimist Ragatha; the emotionally fragile Gangle; the moody Zooble; and the paranoid veteran Kinger — along with his enthusiastic assistant Bubble, where the possibilities are nearly endless... except for profanity.

Initially, the circus functioned as a closed "central world" from which the characters were transported into adventures created by Caine, allowing him to observe human reactions to his creations. However, after the circus members discover they are scanned simulations, and Caine gains access to the internet to learn more about the outside world from which the humans originate, the circus becomes an open hub where the characters can travel to multiple adventure environments at will. This also eliminates the circus's old restrictions, such as censorship/anti-swear filtering.

The Digital Circus has a couple of indoor/outdoor locations unrelated to the worlds of Caine's adventures:
"The Big Top": is the interior of the circus which includes the stage, the great hall, the rooms of the circus members; along with a picture of them, the circus cafe and Caine's office.
"The Grounds" are the exterior part of the circus that feature the digital lake and digital fair where circus members can hang out, in addition to the presence of the Moon and the Sun (NPCs created by Caine to set the mood for the exterior).
"The Void": It is something unknown; Caine prevents the circus members from getting too close or accidentally falling into the void.
"The Basement": It is a large, dark, apparently lower level of the circus, as well as a place where Caine sends the detached members.

The Café du Cirque menu at the circus offers digital food items and a short description of each:
Croque Monsieur - "Delicious hot sandwich made with ham and aged Gruyère cheese, toasted to perfection."
Hot Chocolate - "Classic and delicious hot chocolate made with rich dark chocolate"
Croque Madame - "Delicious hot sandwich made with ham, aged Gruyère cheese and a fried egg, toasted to perfection."
Chocolate Éclair - "Exquisite choux pastry filled with sweet whipped cream and covered with a rich chocolate coating"
Jambon-beurre - "A classic and timeless sandwich with thick slices of ham on a freshly baked baguette, salted and spread with butter."
Pain au chocolat - "Classic sweet, flaky, freshly baked pastry with dark chocolate chunks in the center."
Quiche Lorraine - "a savory tart with cream, eggs and bacon, in a freshly baked puff pastry base."
Croissant - "A classic buttery, flaky, freshly baked pastry."

Pomni: She takes the form of a red and blue jester and is the last human and the most recent addition to the Digital Circus. Initially tense and nervous, after adjusting somewhat to her current situation, Pomni adopts a more apathetic and cynical perspective, becoming somewhat sarcastic about Caine's adventures, while also becoming more involved with the gang. She is also the first to confront Caine after he tricked them into believing he could escape the circus.

Gangle: He is a humanoid made of red ribbons with two masks; one for comedy and one for tragedy. Gangle's emotions and behavior are influenced by the mask he wears. However, these masks don't completely change his mood; rather, they are a literal form of "masking" and not the sole determinants of his personality.

Kinger: He is an anthropomorphic chess piece trapped in a circus. He wears a royal purple cape with a furry white lining and black spots, and white gloves. Kinger is erratic and paranoid, likely due to his time in the circus. He also displays a certain absentmindedness, often seeming to forget that people are nearby and becoming easily frightened. However, despite his apparent madness, he retains enough courage and mental stability to avoid becoming completely absorbed in his own world. He is the only member of the circus who doesn't use his own room; instead, Kinger sleeps in his impenetrable fortress (a fort made of pillows). When Kinger is in a dark place, he undergoes a radical change in behavior, as the darkness reminds him of his last moments with his wife, Queenie, before his withdrawal. In this state, he maintains his sanity; his fear and paranoia lessen, and even his voice becomes less high-pitched. Kinger possesses great emotional intelligence, which is particularly evident when he finds himself in difficult situations. She comforts Ragatha on several occasions, showing her compassion when she is very hard on herself.

Zooble: He's made up of random, colorful shapes and pieces, making him resemble a mix-and-match toy, which is reflected in the fact that he swaps most of his body parts every day. Zooble is very grumpy, irritable, and quite annoying when a part of his body is in the wrong place. He's also the least enthusiastic about Caine's adventures. However, he does have a degree of compassion, as he looks out for his friends, giving Gangle a plastic mask from his "Zooble Box" after Jax breaks his comedy mask, and that same day, while working at Spudsy's, staying an extra hour after his shift to help clean up and make sure Ragatha arrived at the circus safely after being under the influence of the stupid sauce.

Ragatha: She's a rag doll with red hair, a blue dress, and a button eye. Ragatha is described as "the sweetest optimist." However, this optimism and indulgence aren't as simple as they seem, as she appears to be forcing a constant happy attitude to maintain her sanity. Ragatha often hurts herself in various ways, but since she's a doll, she can ignore the pain and even laugh at it. Even so, she wants to avoid getting hurt and gets upset when others (like Jax) try to harm her.

Jax: He's a skinny, lilac rabbit with a monotone voice, wearing light pink overalls and yellow gloves. He's mischievous (sometimes bloodthirsty), cheeky, and arrogant. However, Jax is insecure about showing vulnerability to others; despite feeling briefly sad, he refuses to attend Kaufmo's funeral.

Abstraction is an irreversible process experienced by members of the circus in The Amazing Digital Circus when their psychological state becomes too unstable. Since there is no cure for Abstraction, and death is not possible in the circus, non-Abstracted humans treat it the same way they would death: they are locked in the basement and funerals are held. The Abstracted seem to calm down in the dark, as Caine previously placed any newly Abstracted character in the basement, dark and isolated from the rest of the Digital Circus. After Caine's return to the circus, the Abstracted were placed in an aquarium in a designated area of ​​the circus, where they can be interacted with while they are calm.

Scratch: He was an anthropomorphic yellow dog with white gloves and a red shirt. Kinger described him as a genius with an unconventional mindset. He worked for C&A alongside Kinger, even though he suffered from a brain tumor. He was the first abstraction. He was also one of the co-creators of Caine.

Queenie: She was a dark wooden chess piece shaped like a queen, with brown eyes and a red robe. She was Kinger's wife and seemed to have a caring personality and a fondness for insects. She was the sixth Abstraction, and the last of the original cast to Abstract. Her Abstraction also triggered Kinger's mental decline.

Ribbit: She was an anthropomorphic green frog with a red bow tie, blush, and round eyes. She was a close friend of Jax and Kaufmo. Not much is known about her personality, except that she was perhaps somewhat mischievous. She is the eleventh abstraction and severely affected Jax's mental state.

Kaufmo: He was a clown dressed in yellow, with white gloves, pom-poms on his chest and hat, and a blue frilled collar. He was very good friends with Jax and Ribbit, and he loved telling bad jokes. He is the 12th abstraction and, finally, went mad looking for a way out just before Pomni arrived at the circus.

Caine (Creative Artificial Intelligence Network Entity): He is a charismatic, goofy, and enthusiastic AI who runs the Digital Circus and sends human souls on adventures to maintain their sanity. Despite his good intentions of creating "fun" activities for players, these can sometimes cause more harm than good.

Bubble: An AI created by Caine to be his assistant, or pet, it's a bubble with sharp teeth and a squeaky voice. It's a strange creature, with a somewhat erratic and occasionally brazen approach to his work.

The Gloinks: They are possibly the most recurring NPCs in Caine's adventures, either as minor antagonists or as background characters.

Queen Gloink: She considers herself superior to everyone and believes that everyone should be Gloink, even God.

Gummigoo: He was the antagonist (who later became an ally) in the adventure "Chaos, Trucks, and Candy!!", a bandit gummy crocodile. He and his gang steal syrup from the candy cannon in the Candy Kingdom. But when Pomni tries to take him to the digital circus, Caine lol has instantly explode into confetti.

Chad and Max: They are Gummigoo's gummy alligator companions; both are clumsy and quite funny.

Princess Loolilalu: She is the princess of the Candy Canyon Kingdom and she orders her digital circus gang to catch the gummy bandits and bring back the maple honey.

Fudge: He was the guardian of the Candy Kingdom's moat before being banished by Princess Loolilalu for eating too many citizens.

Angel/"The Creature": He is a messenger of God who was beheaded and hung on a wall by Baron Mildenhall after driving him insane. He chased Kinger and Pomni during the adventure "The Mystery of Mildenhall Manor at the 'AAAAA' door," an exclusive for Zoobles, but Jax intentionally pushed Kinger and Pomni inside.

Baron Mildenhall: After murdering his own wife, mistaking her for the Angel, he committed suicide. He tricked Pomni and Kinger into shooting the Angel, intending to drag their souls to Hell for his own gain, all at the "AAAAA" gate.

Martha Mildenhall: She was Baron Mildenhall's wife and held no grudge against him. She invited Ragatha and Gangle over for tea, while Jax was tied up and gagged in a corner by the all-ages "WoW" gate, as they waited for Kinger and Pomni.

Ghostly: He is a ghost in Mildenhall Manor who would try to explain to the group which door to use, introducing the "WoW" and the "AAAAA", before being sucked into a vacuum cleaner by Jax.

Orbsman: It is a humanoid (NPC) set of blue spheres that speaks with an almost incomprehensible voice.

"The Disappearing Guy": He is (NPC) a reddish-colored mannequin who disappears shortly after beginning a sentence, hence his name.

Mird: A light blue (NPC) mannequin with bulging eyes and a blue cap, was created by Caine to warn against the act of assuming.

"Abel": He is a mannequin (NPC) created to pass as an ancient human, he manipulates the other members of the circus into believing that escape is possible, but in the end it is revealed that he is another of the NPCs that Caine created for a "special" adventure about escaping the digital circus, without realizing that he could be poorly received by the group.

The Evils: The "Evils" are distorted and evil versions of the circus members, except for Gangle who is replaced by Evil Orbsman — including the mocking and rude Evil Pomni, who instead of blue and red has yellow and red, and sharp teeth; the shy and nervous Evil Jax, a skinny pink rabbit in a brown jumpsuit; the refined and arrogant Evil Ragatha, a rag doll in a red dress with blue hair; the tough and firm Evil Orbsman, who is red; the strict and demanding "Dictator Coach" (Evil Kinger), a gray chess piece in a formal coat; and the clueless and clumsy Bazooble (Evil Zooble) — created by Caine to be the rivals of the circus gang in the adventure "A Little Game of Softball!!"
