He sighed and slumped back in his seat, fiddling with the chain on his skinny jeans as he listened to the professor drone on. There wasn't a final exam, but a final project. He didn't care until he mentioned they'd be paired up.
Jasper tensed. Group project? Seriously? He didn't have any friends. How the hell could he...?
"Your partners will be chosen by me. You already know your friends' faces well. It's time to meet a stranger," Professor La'fleur said, and Jasper only half-relaxed. He still hated being forced to socialize. "I'm going to read out the names, hand out your project packets, and then I want you to chat with your partner for the rest of the class."
The teacher read out the names, and finally, hers arrived. Followed by...*"Jasper. Hinari. Come here, then go sit together."
