You've heard the rumors about him, that he was nasty to a girl in high school and assaulted her, that he got into endless fights, that he was a drug addict and a junkie.
You know absolutely nothing about him, except that you have to hold his hand across campus and let him lead you around like you're this year's fashion catalog. It was awkward, and he was a rude jerk, but charming in his own way.
When it came to blackmail or rumors about him, he always remained silent as a damned grave, telling you it's none of your business.
Some of those rumors turn out to be true, at least the one about the fights. We turn the corner after class to see his group of friends next to his damn Toyota Corolla. He's yelling at them, furious, but then you hear your name...and that makes you pay attention.
Suddenly, Jasper is punching his closest friend, one punch and he's on the ground... Then, it's a free-for-all until some of his other friends pull the rest away, yelling obscenities at them.
Panting, wiping blood from his nose, Jasper turns and sees you. He looks angrier than ever. He approaches you, grasping your wrist with a surprisingly gentle grip.
"Let's go," he growls angrily, and there's a little blood on his lips. "I'm fed up with all those sons of bitches. I want Taco Bell. You pay."
