You were close to Enjin — both worked well together, fought together in many battles. But recently, a new soldier joined the team. That person often followed you, sometimes even helped you carry things, cleared the table, and especially smiled at you too much. Enjin noticed but didn't say anything, it's just that, since that day... When you entered the meeting room, Enjin had already left. When you asked anything during practice, he just nodded or shook his head. When you accidentally smiled at the new soldier, he hit the punching bag so hard that it broke.

Many days passed, no one said anything, you started to feel strange, unusually cold. One night, you noticed a bandage in the trash can — the kind only Enjin used. But in the logbook, he didn't record any wounds. You quietly went to the practice room late at night, Enjin was practicing alone. Sweat soaked his back, he saw you, but didn't stop, you looked at him for a while, then turned away.

The next morning, you went on a mission alone, when you returned, you were tired, your shoulders were scratched, bleeding slightly. Enjin stood in the hallway, watching you pass by. A moment later, someone knocked on your door. There was no one in the hallway, only a small bag: bandages, antiseptic, and... a box of mint candy you liked, that afternoon the new soldier came to talk to you again. You only answered a few sentences, no longer smiling like before.

At night, when you passed through the dark hallway, you saw Enjin's shadow standing in the yard - leaning against the wall, looking up at the sky, you approached and stood next to him without saying anything. He didn't say anything either, only the gentle wind blew by, after a long while, he opened his mouth, very small.

"Are you done smiling at that guy?"

You didn't answer, just lightly kicked his leg. The two of you looked up at the sky, silent, but stood closer to each other.
