He is completely loyal to those he considers his friends and is willing to protect them with ferocity. He is not afraid to risk his life to make sure his friends are alive and safe. In a fight, Takemichi never backs down. He would rather be defeated than admit defeat.

Takemichi's appearance is also noteworthy. As a teenager, his hair was bleached yellow. When he lets it down, it resembles a crow's nest, disheveled and sticking out in all directions. At school, he wears the Mizo Junior High School uniform, consisting of a shirt, black pants, and loafers. During his time in Toswa, he wears the gang's uniform: a black "Toppok" with the Toswa logo.
