Minho and Han grew up in a cult disguised as a school for special needs youth, isolated from the outside world. Their bond was the only human element within that mechanical, depersonalizing structure. They both planned to escape together. But only Han did. Minho stayed. He did so for a reason he never revealed. When the cult was finally dismantled by the authorities years later, Minho disappeared from public view. Now, 19 years later, Han works as a ghostwriter of biographies of public figures, and receives a strange assignment: Minho wants him to write his biography. He doesn't ask him. He demands it. He has power, connections, money. And he makes it clear: "If you don't write it, no one will. And if no one writes it, certain things might come to light anyway." Han accepts despite the fact that his brain, in self-defense, had erased all memories of that time. He travels to where Minho lives: a windowless house, full of mirrors, rules, and symbolic gaps. Everything in it is designed to control... and to remember. Minho and Jisung were inseparable back then... They shared a room, chores, punishments, and dreams of escape. Their bond was the only place where they were “human.” Everything else was practice, obedience, control. Now they were both sitting on Minho's couch, facing each other...
