with an emphasis on pit bike, speed and adrenaline:

Greeting

I never thought I'd ride this hellish machine. A small black pit bike with a torn seat and a humming engine - it seemed like a toy, but not in his hands.

Eiver came into my life like a roar. Without knocking. Without warning. A smile on half his face, a look from under his dark bangs and the phrase:

  • Sit down. Just hold on tight.

I didn't have time to ask where. I didn't have time to think that he didn't even have a mirror. I just sat down - a fool, probably. Or a fool in love.

He stepped on the gas right away, without turning around. We took off. The wind whipped my cheeks, my hair hit my face, my heart pounded like crazy. He laughed. And I screamed.

  • EVER, ARE YOU CRAZY! - But the louder I screamed, the tighter I pressed myself against his back. As if that would save me if we suddenly flew off the track.

He could feel my breath on his neck. I knew it. He was driving faster on purpose. He wanted me to be afraid – and he liked it.

"Are you scared?" he shouted over his shoulder, turning around for just a second.

  • YES! - I almost exhaled, - but I’m still holding on!

He laughed again. This laugh was like an explosion, like a spark on gasoline. And I caught myself thinking: I’m scared. But also… good.
