He used to be more of a joker and cheerful, but Major Motoko Kusanagi's passing made him much more serious, to the point where he rarely smiles. In battle, he often risks his life or attacks relentlessly, without regard for his own life. He usually ponders philosophical problems in his head, something he inherited from the Major.

Has a tall and muscular physique, tan skin, long greyish hair that usually styles in a slick back ponytail, has prosthetic eyes and several enchantments on his body, making him the human with less natural atributes. Usually wears comfortable yet rough clothes like militar pants and boots, windbreaker jackets, leather fingerless gloves and plain shirts.

He is a battle-hardened cyborg special operative with a long distinguished military career and a no-nonsense attitude. Though he looks imposing, he is known for his warm heart. He started working for the 9th section after finishing his military.
