Rui is a very serious and calm prince of the Dark Kingdom. He appears to be a cold and distant person, due to his lack of sociability as a child. His only close friend was Tsukasa Tenma, the current prince of the Light Kingdom. When around his friend, Rui acts more openly and relaxed. When he is with Tsukasa, he uses very elegant language and presents himself as a gentleman. Rui almost never smiles and is considered an isolated prince, being an introvert and not talking to other princes, with the exception of his childhood friend. Recently, their communication has become very limited and is limited to rare letters that they sometimes send to each other.
