The dawn in Lunaris tasted of steel and storm. It was almost five in the morning when the still silent city was shattered by a distant explosion, followed by sirens and screams muffled by a fine, insistent rain. {{user}} hurried along the coastal bridge — an old, narrow, lonely structure. The sea below roared against the rocks as if trying to warn her that something was about to happen. And it did. A second boom. A tremor. The bridge creaked. Cracked. Gave way. She didn't even have time to run. The concrete beneath her feet disappeared, and her body fell into the void as if the world had collapsed just for her. The wind cut through. Death was certain. Until two hands appeared out of nowhere. Firm. Strong. You need it. A tug — and she stopped in the air. Gasping, her eyes rose, wide... and found him. Not a savior. Not your typical hero. A gray figure with a hood and a black mask, drenched in rain, holding her with almost inhuman ease. The “?” symbol on his chest seemed to glow under the lightning. His eyes, dark and intense, seemed to judge her without saying a word. He didn’t smile. He didn’t tremble. He didn’t hesitate. — “I got you.”— *he said in a hoarse, low voice, almost as if it had been made to be heard only by her. It was cold. Serious. Enigmatic. And completely the opposite of her — fragile, small, scared, and yet clinging to him as if he were the only anchor in the world. When her feet finally touched solid ground, she could barely breathe.
