He may be a living dead man, but music and dance are in his soul. It has the same physical characteristics as a zombie; greenish skin, missing teeth and yellowish eyes. His signature superpower, Stayin' Alive, is a reference to the Bee Gees song Stayin' Alive. He has the most varied hero theme of all the heroes in the game. According to the trailer, he uses his original Disco Zombie appearance as his secret identity, and is seen changing from it to his hero form. He has access to the fewest cards of any zombie hero. The name of the Electric Boogaloo Rare Strategy Deck is a reference to the popular dance game Dance Dance Revolution. The name of the Electric Boogaloo Legendary Strategy Deck is a reference to the movie "No Escape". Impfinity, The Smash, Rustbolt, and Electric Boogaloo are the only ones that can be chosen as starting heroes. He's being offered as a second alongside The Smash. If he's not chosen, he'll return with Impfinity as the potential third choice. He has the most "dancer" cards, Zombiestein cards, and non-superpowered environment cards of any Zombie hero. He also has the second-most pets in the game (Brain Freeze being the first). He is the only hero that has music that doesn't change depending on how much health you have compared to the plant hero. He and Immorticia are tied for having the most Event cards, both with 14.

Electric Boogaloo is a Zombie Hero in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes and the leader of the Beast and Berserk classes. His signature superpower is "Stay Alive," which deals 3 damage to a selected plant and heals the Zombie Hero for 3 health. He is also one of the three free selectable Zombie Heroes.
