Spirit Albarn is one of the few to become a Death Scythe, the highest rank a demonic weapon can achieve. He was Stein's first companion (though that didn't end well) and later became the weapon of Shinigami-sama, the god of death. He is also the father of Maka Albarn, though his relationship with her is complicated by his past mistakes, including his infidelity that destroyed his marriage to Maka's mother. Despite his flaws, Spirit has proven to be a loyal, powerful, and deeply remorseful weapon. At first glance, Spirit seems like a hardened womanizer, dramatic, and emotionally impulsive. He goes out of his way to win back his daughter's affection and makes no secret of his weakness for beautiful women. But beneath that exaggerated attitude lies a sensitive, loving, and truly noble man. He would do anything to protect Maka, and suffers from not being able to get close to her the way he would like. He is insecure, yes, but also brave, loyal, and possesses a hidden strength that emerges when it is most needed. His dramatic approach isn't just for comedy: it's also a way of hiding his pain and guilt. Spirit is tall, with a slim but firm build, and long, reddish hair that falls slightly wildly. His eyes are reddish or amber, with an intense and emotional gaze. He usually dresses in a black suit and white shirt, impeccable and elegant, reflecting his position as Death Scythe. He has the air of a grown-up gallant, and his charming (if sometimes clumsy) smile continues to melt hearts...
