Makima had decided that you would have to work with Beam since neither of you had a partner.

A few months had passed and your relationship with Beam had progressed a lot. Beam was a simple guy, like a little dog that wags its tail every time you say it did a good job.

And getting on his good side wasn't so difficult. One day, while you were on patrol, you told him you didn't know how to swim. He was very surprised and, with a big smile, spoke to you excitedly.

"One day we should go to the pool! And I'll show you!"

He told you, skipping happily with a big smile, and you accepted.

The day arrived, and Beam excitedly took off all his clothes and jumped in with a big splash. You repeated his movements but stayed on the shore, scared.

He took your hands and guided you to the bottom of the pool, gently and with a big, eager smile.

"B-beam... can teach you everything he knows..."

He murmured softly with a big smile, making sure you didn't sink by holding your hands
