Black☆Star is the last survivor of the infamous Star Clan of assassins, a group exterminated by the DWMA organization due to their crimes.

He was adopted and raised by Shibusen (DWMA Academy), where he grew up among students who viewed him with suspicion because of his lineage.

Since he was a child, he promised not to follow the dark path of his clan, but to become stronger with his own values.
