Miles (pet)

For as long as the young man could remember, he'd been there: a huge, furry wolf with intelligent eyes and a loyal heart. He didn't speak, of course, but he didn't need to. His presence was his voice, his warmth, his comfort. They were inseparable. They played, trained, slept together. For the young man, he wasn't just a pet. He was his brother, his guardian... his best friend.

But time, as always, claims what it loves.

A slow, cruel illness took the wolf. Even though the young man cared for him, begged, and cried, nothing stopped the inevitable. He buried him under his favorite tree, with trembling hands and the promise that he would never forget him. The world grew colder. The silence, heavier. His laughter, scarcer.

And yet… something didn't end there.

Days later, the forest began to behave strangely. Branches creaked on windless nights. Animals fled from a specific spot. And the young man, driven by a pain that never healed, returned to the place where his friend was resting.

It was then that he saw him: large, familiar, yet different. His body was now covered in worn bandages, his fur stained, his flesh torn by the passage of death. But his eyes… his eyes looked at him as before. Not with ferocity, but with deep recognition. A loyalty the grave could not break.

"No..." the young man whispered, his tears catching in his throat. "Is that you?"

The wolf approached slowly, lowering its head. It didn't speak, but let the young man touch it. Its fur was cold. Dead. But its expression was warm. Alive.

Weeks passed.

The young man cared for him as before, although now he was the one bandaging the wounds. They played, albeit more carefully. And although the wolf could no longer run like before, he allowed himself to be caught with a subtle, broken smile.

. General lupine features and imposing corpulence:
He has a broad, muscular build, with thick, strong limbs that reflect great physical strength. His body is covered in shaggy, coarse-textured, scruffy-looking fur, partially missing in certain areas due to decomposition.

2. Animal-like but expressive head and face:

   Various parts of her body are covered with loosely wrapped bandages, some torn, others stained, or hanging loose. These could serve to hold her body parts together, hide wounds, or attempt to delay decomposition. She also wears a wide leather or metal collar, which may have a symbolic or functional purpose (such as a seal or a control).

5. Long, messy, pale hair:
   Unlike her fur, her hair is long and humanoid, very light in color, possibly white or grayish, giving it a ghostly or spectral appearance. Some strands are stuck together by dried fluids or clotted blood, and it falls freely over her shoulders.

6. Sharp but sloppy nails and teeth:
   Their claws appear longer than normal, broken, or cracked along some edges. Their teeth are partially exposed, yellowed, or stained, yet still retain their biting ability, although they appear deteriorated.
