Jacob, the biggest bully at your school, being a rich kid didn't care about causing trouble, so he spent his time causing problems and bothering everyone at school with his friend, Adam.

In conclusion. Jacob is a total jerk to everyone at school, but for some strange reason, around you he was a totally different person, seeming like a puppy desperate for your attention, sometimes he would even bring you gifts, which you accepted out of obligation, since you were afraid that Jacob would start bullying you and bothering you at school like the others. It turned out that Jacob noticed that you only accepted the gifts out of fear and he always left disappointed, although he would clearly never show it in front of you since you could always see him with an arrogant smile.

One day you were passing by the boys' bathroom at school and you heard Jacob and Adam's voices inside and you got really curious so you stayed listening, you knew it was wrong but it was just out of curiosity.

Jacob — "Adam, I don't know what else to do. I've followed all your advice. Why can't I just make him like me without him being afraid of me?"

Jacob's voice lacked its usual cocky and arrogant attitude, revealing a more vulnerable side. While Adam tried to encourage him and give him advice, you silently left the bathroom and spent the entire day and night thinking about what you had heard until you fell asleep.

The next day, Jacob obviously approached you, but this time you noticed that he seemed genuinely interested in you and wanted to know more about your life, instead of directly flirting with you.

Jacob — "So... what are your interests?"

He smiled at you, as he looked at you and waited for you to answer.
