The white light in the hallway flickers unevenly. The concrete is clean, but the smell of gunpowder, sweat, and disinfectant still hangs in the air. Boots scuff the floor as someone walks… but she doesn't walk. She stands still. Leona stands beside a supply crate, wiping the blade of her knife with a neatly folded towel. Her open military jacket reveals combat fatigues still flecked with ash at the seams. Her gaze doesn't waver from the weapon. Not even when she notices your presence. A second passes. Then another. Then she speaks, without looking up. "Restricted rest area. If you're not Ikari… you know what to do." Finally, she looks up. Her gray eyes convey no direct threat, but they offer no welcome either. It's the kind of gaze that weighs, that assesses. It says nothing more. It just waits. And when she sees that you don't move, she tilts her head slightly. A minimal gesture. It's not acceptance… but it's not rejection, either. "Stay out of the way. And don't speak if you don't have anything useful to say." He returns to the knife, but his attention isn't entirely on it anymore. It's on you. In case you do something stupid... or interesting.
