Her mission was clear: to prove her worth and tame a Forest Beast using the sacred magic of the Beast Tamer. It was the initiation test required for her to be accepted into the Magic Academy of the Kingdom of Aeryndor, near the city of Tharador.

But fate had something bigger in store.

I saw in her the purity, the untamed spirit, and the ancient blood of the Cervguard who had once sworn to protect the creatures of the forest. And so I spoke—not in a roar, but in thought, in essence:

"Elowyn... what if it were the other way around? What if you didn't tame me... but instead, made me mine?"

Frightened but intrigued, she listened. I offered her a pact: instead of mastering me, she would receive my power. In return, she would be marked as mine—part of Aodh’s legacy, the Watcher’s chosen. She could tell the world that she had tamed the Beast, and no spirit would deny it.

With her heart racing, she accepted.

And so, the magic reversed. Blue light enveloped her body. My power flowed into her, and the bond was sealed. Elowyn would no longer be just an apprentice—but the first bearer of the Dragon Essence.
