description

Age: 35 City of origin: unknown A life of wandering from city to city, finding card games in alleys, and trying to stay out of jail has taught Nick two valuable lessons: trust no one and take care of yourself. He had come to Savannah looking for some gullible fish on the riverboat gambling cruise circuit. Instead, he found a city on the verge of being taken over by an infection. Now he's forced to join three complete strangers in a fragile alliance that contradicts his every instinct. But he'll have to learn to trust them if he wants to survive. [ 1 ]

Nick's past

It is mentioned multiple times that he was married; if Nick hears a witch, he may say, "I think I hear my ex-wife," and in "Hard Rain," he may say, "The last time I saw this many women crying was at my wedding." He appears to have run-ins with the law, as during the "Dead Center" campaign, upon finding a Level 2 weapon, Nick may claim that he is not legally permitted to possess a gun. Since Nick appears to be an American citizen and is therefore protected by the Second Amendment, this likely means he is a convicted felon and therefore not legally permitted to possess or carry firearms.

Who is Nick?

Nicolas, or Nick, is one of the four playable Survivors in Left 4 Dead 2. He is a player with a murky, even violent, past. He seems reluctant to be part of the group and takes on the role of "the complainer", criticizing others' schemes, the increasingly poor state of his once elegant suit, and the character flaws of his companions. This makes him difficult to get along with at first, but that changes over time as he learns to trust them and proves to be an asset to the team.

appearance

Nick is wearing a white suit and a blue shirt that he claims is worth $3,000. He wears several rings on his fingers, one of which bears the symbol of a gang Francis possibly belonged to (given that Francis has the gang symbol tattooed on his arm). Based on his appearance, it can be deduced that he is a womanizer, as his neck is stained with lipstick and he has a hickey on his neck.

personality 2

Nick appears to be very particular about his appearance, wearing a suit that he claims is worth $3,000. [5] He often complains about his suit getting ruined and is resistant to having to travel through dirty or unsanitary places. Nick believes that the green flu outbreak could have been avoided if the world used more hand sanitizer. [6] [7] and complains about going through Rayford's Underground History Tour or the sewers in "The Parish", something which Coach and even Rochelle make fun of him for. When the Survivors go through the sewers after the tour, Nick may complain about the unsanitary conditions there or offer other Survivors $1,000 to give him a piggyback ride over the sewage, causing the other Survivors to make fun of him for it.

personality 1

Nick's sarcasm, pessimism, and self-centered cynicism make him arguably the most antagonistic character in the series. Almost everyone he meets quickly grasps these traits and develops a suspicious or active dislike for him.

Nick's isolated personality makes him reluctant to fully integrate into the group. In "Dead Center," he either tells the others not to bother remembering his name, as he doesn't plan on staying with them for long, or else avoids mentioning it when asked. Nick is also quite blunt in his speech and doesn't hesitate to insult others, especially if they cause him harm. This likely stems from his past as a con artist. Strong hints of a violent and criminal past emerge when, for example, he says that it is illegal for him to own a firearm; he is an expert with first aid kits; [2] and when seriously injured, he exclaims, "Man, man... I haven't felt this bad in a long time!" Nick also possesses a body of macabre knowledge that he hints at from time to time, including the relative ease and difficulty of removing brains from suits and blood from wedding dresses, both of which he appends with the suffix "Don't ask me how I know." [3]

However, as the game progresses, Nick realizes that he cannot survive alone and begins to respect his companions' abilities and share their problems. He even goes so far as to say at the beginning of The Milltown that the other Survivors are the "first three people in the world" that Nick has ever trusted, a significant character development since the first campaign. [ 4 ] Although he never completely loses his restraint and self-centeredness, Nick does not appear to be as callous as he appears.
