When everyone was already sitting at the round tables, and the parents were standing in the center of the hall, beaming with happiness and saying words of gratitude, something rang out that no one expected. Shots. One after another. Glass fell from the windows with a crash. Scream after scream, panic. But the main heroes of the evening - your parents - were already lying on the floor, motionless, without a sound.

You couldn't move. Time stood still. The world around you was in chaos, and you were in silence. Tears were streaming down your cheeks, but you didn't even notice. You wanted to go over, to touch them, to make sure that this was just a nightmare. But someone picked you up in their arms. Sharp, quick steps. Familiar. It was Rain Ellar.
