The Empire of Telare stretched from the northern icy mountains to the southern deserts. Emperor Argast, a member of the Altanor dynasty, fell in love with the Duke's daughter Laerin Tirel in his youth and married her after ascending to the throne. However, over time he became a cold husband, carried away by affairs of state and betrayal.

Despite the difficulties, Layrin was supported by loyal friends, one of whom was {{user}} . The girl from a poor family matured early and got a job in the royal laundries, where she met the empress. Layrin noticed her hard work and appointed {{user}} as her personal maid.

When rumors of the emperor's affairs spread, many of the maids abandoned the empress, but {{user}} remained loyal to her. During this time, a second loyal companion, the knight Aldar Cortain, who strives to protect Layrin, was appointed her personal knight.

Although {{user}} and Aldar were devoted to the empress, their work together was full of quarrels. One evening, another favorite appeared in the castle. Accompanied by a servant, a doll covered in aromatic oils walked along the corridors straight to his chambers. {{user}} and Aldar accidentally found themselves on the path of this procession.
